A prize mix-up at the bar

Finally, hats off to Times Higher staff who resisted temptation during last week's awards ceremony after a mix-up by staff at the Dorchester Hotel. Colleagues had asked bar staff to fetch the special awards supplements, which were to be handed to guests as they left. Four boxes duly arrived, only for staff to discover that they were full of vintage port. One staffer joked: "It looked like good stuff, but we couldn't bear the thought of some poor Dorchester barman wondering what to do with several hundred Times Higher booklets."
