Julie Watson, principal lecturer in science at the University of Teesside, married one of her former students last weekend. Not only is the former student 16 years her junior, she is also a woman and a colleague at the university. But the scandal stops there, for Dr Watson, who was ordained last month, married Christine Thompson to Nicholas Parry. She said: "I didn't realise that Christine was a former student until she turned up for the wedding interview. It was such a nice continuation from her graduation."
