Brussels, 29 Nov 2005

An evening discussion on what biotechnology means for agriculture worldwide will take place in Brussels, Belgium, on 8 December.

This year marks the tenth anniversary of the first commercially-available biotech crop. To commemorate this milestone, EuropaBio has organised a discussion on what biotechnology means for world agriculture - from the perspectives of a farmer and two of the world's major agricultural forces: Brazil and the United States.

The main topics for discussion will be the benefits of biotechnology; the lessons learned; the future and the implications of various policy approaches.
