The words "accountancy" and "personality" are not always natural bedfellows, according to popular stereotype. But Dave Sexton, head of accounting at Anglia Ruskin University's Ashcroft International Business School, is the recipient of this year's "Accountancy Personality of the Year" award from the accountancy magazine PQ.
The award was presented to Dr Sexton at a ceremony last week by actor Shaun Williamson (best known as Barry from EastEnders ) for his "ongoing dedication and commitment to his students as a lecturer and his proactive work on behalf of students within the professional accountancy community".
