Letter: Get real on RAE 3

三月 1, 2002

I am sorry that Ormond Simpson thought my RAE categories were tongue in cheek (Letters, THES , February 15). I have had to tell colleagues that they were not being submitted, and to commiserate with others who have lost a third of their funding because they submitted too many people. When funding is given in bands, changing the number of publications required by the RAE will not get rid of the problem of choosing whom to submit.
