Identity in a spin

In the photo accompanying the comparison of the Roman poet Gaius Valerius Catullus and Alastair Campbell ("Spin? We've seen it all before", April 2) the man on the right is one (unrelated) Quintus Lutatius Catulus.

Can we be assured that the man on the left is not also an impostor?
