Statistical Techniques in Business and Economics

二月 28, 2008

The 13th edition of a book first published in 1967 and now stretching to 760 pages plus appendices and end-matter. Traditional statistical methods are covered in a straightforward way with no calculus and little algebra. Extensive real data including a CD; examples are all American.

Who is it for? Undergraduate students in economics and business.

Presentation: Individual topics are treated clearly, but I fear that many readers will fail to see the wood for the trees.

Any extras? A CD.

Would you recommend it? No; there are more modern and concise books at the same level that give a better idea of the subject.
