Companies Act 2006: The New Law

二月 28, 2008

Another account of the changes brought in by the Companies Act 2006. The background to the new law is briefly discussed and there is a limited analysis of the new provisions. The full text of the Act is also provided, along with tables charting the change in section numbers between the 1985 and 2006 Acts.

Who is it for? Practitioners, company secretaries and those who advise on company law issues. Lecturers will find it useful when updating courses. Students would be better off consulting a traditional textbook.

Presentation: The account of the new law is clear and succinct, and the text is well structured and signposted.

Would you recommend it? For those wanting a reference text highlighting the changes brought in by the Act, it is useful. However, given that the explanatory notes for the Act are freely available, it's doubtful whether it offers enough to justify the price.
