This week's competition, in which you have to identify a book from its opening sentence, comes from a joint work by a computing pioneer and an economist:

"The purpose of this book is to present a discussion of some fundamental questions of economic theory which require a treatment different from that which they have found thus far in the literature."

The winner receives a £25 book voucher. The closing date is October 25.
