About the opportunity The Stage Door Attendant is the first point of contact for any visitors entering Seymour Centre's back of house. This role is varied, and no two days are the same. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be the point of liaison for operational and logistical matters regarding back of house. Demonstrated capacity to manage research projects. Highly developed research, analytical, information literacy and report writing skills for conference papers and educational publications. Demonstrated ability to locate, analyse, compile, and edit relevant literature and research data to produce research reports, conference papers, and manuscripts for refereed journals. Demonstrated relevant experience of writing up research findings for a variety of audiences including policy and academic communities, and active engagement in collaborative research practices both within and external to the University. Demonstrated skills in qualitative and quantitative - mixed method research, both in archival and ethnographic research methods. Knowledge and experience in the use of qualitative methods including interviews and focus groups. Proven ability to communicate effectively with Aboriginal Peoples and people from diverse backgrounds including strong cross cultural communication skills with demonstrated ability and experience in active engagement in community outreach activities. Demonstrated organisational and time management skills together with resourcefulness and initiative to manage multiple priorities and demands. High level of interpersonal skills and proven ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment. Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to equity and social justice within a tertiary educational context.
