The Western Ukrainian National University was originally founded as the Ternopil Branch of Financial and Economic Faculty of Kyiv Institute of National Economy in 1966. A year later the branch became a separate faculty and in 1971 it turned into Ternopil Financial and Economic Institute. In 2005 the institute was granted full university status and it became Ternopil National Economic University. In 2020 it was renamed West Ukrainian National University. The university is located in Ternopil, one of the largest cities in western Ukraine. There are three branches of the university spread across the city of Ternopil: Lutsk Branch, Sambir Branch, and Svaliava Branch. The university is divided into five faculties: the faculty of economics and management, faculty of computer information technologies, faculty of finance and accounting, faculty of law, and the faculty of humanities and social sciences. Each faculty offers a range of courses at both undergraduate and graduate level. Throughout the year, the university carries out innovative research projects. There are a number of research centres at the university that facilitate these projects such as the Education and Research Institute of Bioresources and Environmental Management, the Education and Research Institute of Innovative Educational Technologies, and the Education and Research Institute of Creative Studies.

Description The New York University Abu Dhabi Computational Approaches to Modeling Language (CAMeL) Lab seeks to hire a post-doctoral researcher to work in any of the lab research areas, to be involved in the development of open source tools and resources, and to work on publications related to their work. CAMeL's mission is research and education in artificial intelligence, specifically focusing on natural language processing, computational linguistics, and data science. The main lab research areas are Arabic natural language processing (orthography normalization, grammatical error correction, morphology tagging, syntax parsing, readability assessment), machine translation, and text analytics. Since its establishment in 2014, the CAMeL Lab has produced over 200 publications and 20 language resources and tools. The lab website is http://www.camel-lab.com/. Google Scholar of the lab is at http://scholar.camel-lab.com/. The position will target the rank of Post-Doctoral Associate (within less than 5 years of experience post receiving their PhD). A strong preference is for individuals with (a) computer science or computer engineering degrees with previous experience in natural language processing; or computational linguistics/language technologies degrees; (b) strong programming skills and machine learning experience; and (c) a research publication record appropriate for the hiring rank. Knowledge of Arabic language is preferred, but not required. Previous work on Arabic NLP is preferred but not required. The School of Medicine are seeking a dynamic and highly motivated lecturer to be responsible for coordinating and leading key teaching activities in the Bachelor of Medical Studies/Doctor of Medicine Program (BMD), primarily within Year 3. In this program, students participate in multiple teaching activities including attending clinical placements in community and hospital settings, and undertaking Scenario Based Learning (SBL). SBL is a group-based activity that supports application of student knowledge and promotes content integration across the various curriculum domains. These domains are defined by the Australian Medical Council and are science and scholarship, professionalism and leadership, clinical practice and health and society. Work that matters In this Lecturer role, your primary responsibilities will involve Course Coordination and Scenario-Based Learning, alongside other teaching and learning roles. In semester 2, you will co-coordinate the Transition to Clinical Studies course, engaging in direct teaching, providing leadership to a broad range of academic staff, and playing a key role in student assessments. In semester 1, you will lead delivery of SBL in year 3, providing guidance to a team of casual tutors from both clinical and non-clinical backgrounds to deliver SBL sessions on a Monday and Thursday. The role also includes curriculum review and development, in conjunction with colleagues and curriculum leads. In order to meet the needs of this role, you will possess clinical experience which will allow you to integrate concepts from across the curriculum and facilitate small and large group discussion. You will also need to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, as an essential aspect of this role will be to liaise with, and support, casual tutors, academics and clinical titleholders. Description The Kamei Reverse Bioengineering Laboratory within the Divisions of Science and Engineering at NYU Abu Dhabi invites applications for a Post-Doctoral Associate position that advances the frontiers of developmental biology and disease modeling. The laboratory integrates stem-cell biology, fluorescence imaging, bioinformatics, and advanced nano- and micro-engineering to decode organogenesis and early embryogenesis, translating these insights into regenerative medicine, drug discovery, and precision therapeutics. The appointed fellow will design and fabricate nano- and micro-engineered platforms that interface with human stem cells, investigate cellular and molecular mechanisms governing development and pathology, lead experiments from conception through publication in high-impact journals, mentor graduate and undergraduate researchers, and contribute to grant writing and interdisciplinary collaborations. LifeLab is a unique research-based educational project created by the University of Southampton in collaboration with the NIHR Biomedical Research Centre and University Hospital Southampton. About the Role The Senior Research Dissemination Fellow will support our ongoing work by identifying and optimising the research and dissemination outputs of LifeLab. You will be required to work proactively across the team to understand the range and depth of work undertaken in LifeLab and wider Specialist Centre for Public Health and to prepare quality research outputs for dissemination.  You will have knowledge and experience of research within the public health sector, and to be able to work collaboratively to project delivery dates. You will also be an excellent communicator and able to build relationships both internally and externally.
