Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Learning & Teaching) The Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Learning and Teaching) provides strategic and operational leadership for learning and teaching across Edith Cowan University and will be a key adviser to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Students and Education) and Vice-Chancellor on educational strategy. Postdoctoral Research Associate - Sustainable & Inclusive Space Innovation for the Cislunar Economy – Multisensorial Communications and Analytical Visualization of Space Risks The Role and Department The Department of Management and Marketing at Durham University invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate (PDRA) to advance research and impact on the topic of Sustainable and Inclusive Space Innovation for the Cislunar Economy, with a particular emphasis on multisensorial communications and analytical visualization to mitigate emerging space risks. We welcome applications from those with research interests in the field of Space Innovation, Technology Governance, Multisensorial Sciences, and Analytical Visualization to join us. We are particularly eager to hear from applicants with demonstrated experiences in conducting novel qualitative and quantitative research. The successful post-holder will be supervised by Dr Nikita Chiu, Associate Professor in Space Innovation & Technology Governance, and will have the opportunity to be affiliated with research centres based at Durham University. This post offers an exciting opportunity to make a major contribution to the development of internationally excellent research at the intersection of Space Innovation, Business, and Governance. The funding is available from 1 April 2026 for this fixed period only. The role will be supported by the Strategic Research Fund in association with the Space Research Centre at Durham University. The post-holder is employed to work on research/a research project which will be led by another colleague. Whilst this means that the post-holder will not be carrying out independent research in his/her own right, the expectation is that they will contribute to the advancement of the project, through the development of their own research ideas/adaptation and development of research protocols. About the job: The candidate will be an active member of a research team focussed on the development of novel formulations based on solid drug nanoparticles and electrospun patches for the management of diseases with therapeutic gaps. He/She will assist in the planning and delivery of research activities related to his/her research and ensure that the overall research objectives of the project are met. As a Research Fellow of the Paredes Lab, the candidate will be involved in supervision activities, engagement with partners, and dissemination and outreach activities. About the person The successful candidate my have, and your application should clearly demonstrate that you meet the following essential criteria: Applicants must have a degree in Pharmacy (Minimum standard 2.1) Have or about to obtain a PhD in drug delivery/pharmaceutics. Recent relevant research experience to include, recent, relevant, experience in pharmaceutical analysis, including HPLC Demonstrable expertise in electrospinning applied to drug delivery and biomaterials Demonstrable experience in cell culture work, including cell proliferation experiments Knowledge of mass spectrometric detection as used in combination with HPLC Experience of formulation science Experience on the design and manufacture of solid drug nanoparticles (nanocrystals/nanosuspensions) To be successful at shortlisting stage, please ensure you clearly evidence in your application how you meet the essential and, where applicable, desirable criteria listed in the Candidate Information.
