About Varendra University

Varendra University was founded in 2012.

The university is located in Rajshahi, a city in Bangladesh.

The university consists of seven faculties: faculty of arts, faculty of business, faculty of engineering and technology, faculty of law, faculty of pharmacy, faculty of public health, and the faculty of social science.

There are also 11 departments: business administration, computer science and engineering, economics, electrical and electronic engineering, English, journalism, communication and media studies, law and human rights, pharmacy, political science, public health, and sociology. Each department offers a range of both undergraduate and graduate degree programmes.

There are a variety of clubs on offer for students to join such as business club, English language club, photographic society, robotic society, and sociology club.

The university has established the Centre for Interdisciplinary Research which facilitates a variety of research projects throughout the year.
