Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in Cancer Biology, Cancer Immunology, Biomedical Sciences or a related field, and demonstrate exceptional experimental, writing, and communication abilities. Preference will be given to candidates with translational research experience in cancer immunology, antibody-based therapeutics, and/or antibody/protein engineering; as well as cell/organoid culture, cellular/molecular biology, antibody/protein characterization, flow cytometry, animal studies, and cancer-related research work. Applicants should have good communication skills, be self-motivated, have the ability to multi-task with attention to detail, be organized and be able to work independently as well as in a multidisciplinary team. The appointee will work semi-independently under the supervision of Professor Stephanie Ma on translational research projects relating to novel cancer therapeutics development with a focus on targeting cancer stemness using hepatocellular carcinoma as a model system, that is part of a collaborative project.

The Division is looking for an experienced Associate Professor/Assistant Professor who will (1) conduct high-quality research in the state-of-the-art areas in artificial intelligence, natural language processing, large language models, and computer vision; (2) secure external competitive research grants in various funding bodies; (3) teach multiple subjects in both undergraduate-level and postgraduate-level programs in data science areas focusing on industrial data sciences, blockchain, data sciences, artificial intelligence, etc.; (4) work on the promotions and admissions as well as the operations for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, and (5) contribute to other administrative duties as required by the supervisors.

General Requirements

Candidates should have (i) a doctoral degree in a relevant data science, computer science, artificial intelligence, information engineering, or other relevant areas; (ii) a strong publication record and outstanding citation counts in the research areas; (iii) experience in applying external grants and teaching relevant courses and relevant programme administrative experience will be advantages; (iv) good command of English and Chinese (including Mandarin). For the post of Associate Professor, six years of relevant experience in the tenure-track academic post should be required. The candidates with less experience will be considered as Assistant Professor.

Appointment

The conditions of appointment will be competitive. The rank and remuneration will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits include annual leave, medical and dental benefits, mandatory provident fund, gratuity and incoming passage and baggage allowance for the eligible appointees. About the Role

Join the National Centre for Education and Training on Addiction (NCETA) Research Team and contribute to the impactful research led by the internationally recognised Centre that works as a catalyst for change in the alcohol and other drugs field. Working closely as part of the wider Research Team, the Centre Director and government stakeholders, you will have the opportunity to support a variety of research activities imbedded in diverse projects.

	Assisting in capturing and sharing project outcomes and organisational Key Performance Indicators.

About You

You are a proactive and detail-oriented research professional with a strong foundation in public health, health science or psychology, coupled with a passion for contributing to meaningful health research. Comfortable working both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, you bring excellent organisational skills, research rigour and a collaborative approach to supporting research projects from data collection through to reporting and communications.

To be successful in this position, you will also bring:


	Completion of degree in relevant area (e.g. psychology, public health or science) or an equivalent combination of experience and/or education and/or training.
	Demonstrated well-developed writing and communication skills, particularly related to assisting in scientific manuscript preparation, industry reports, grant writing, or research dissemination (e.g. via newsletters, websites, social media).
