The Valahia University of Targoviste was established in 1992 and since then has grown from two to eight faculties and offers over 31 higher education specialisms.
The university is located in the small city of Targoviste, 50km northwest of Bucharest, Romania.
The university has eight faculties offering undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes, including economics; materials engineering and mechanics; electrical engineering, electronics and information technology; orthodox theology and educational science; environmental engineering and food science; political sciences, letters and communication; humanities; sciences and arts; and law and administrative sciences.
Undergraduate courses are offered across all eight faculties. For those progressing from an undergraduate degree, Valahia University offers a range of master’s programmes including business law, environmental quality and the geographic risk phenomenon, didactic mathematics, and corporate management.
For students wishing to continue their postgraduate studies after completing a master’s degree, there are six postgraduate doctorate programmes in accountancy, management, materials engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and history.
