We are seeking an experienced Head of Tax to join our Finance Leadership team at a key point in the University’s strategic and financial development. This is a senior role with responsibility for the tax strategy, governance, compliance and risk management of a large and complex University Group, spanning UK and international activities, subsidiaries, capital projects and commercial ventures. Acting as the University’s principal tax adviser, you will work closely with senior leadership and a wide range of stakeholders to ensure tax matters are managed effectively, transparently and in line with the University’s values and public‑benefit mission. You will lead the development and delivery of the Group’s tax strategy, oversee tax risk and compliance, provide high‑quality advice on complex transactions, and manage relationships with HMRC and external advisers. The role offers significant scope to shape how tax supports the University’s long‑term sustainability and ambitions. We are looking for a senior tax professional with strong technical breadth, sound judgement and the credibility to influence at Executive level. Experience in higher education or the public sector is essential. Supported Areas for START Health Sciences Diagnostic Radiography: Radiography involves the controlled use of ionising radiation, radioactive substances and non-ionising radiation to produce diagnostic quality images of the human body, facilitating the diagnosis and treatment of patients (Allied Health Professions Act 2011). Dietetics: Dietetics involves the management of medical conditions and promotion of health through application of food and nutrition. Dietitians provide medical nutrition therapy and implement specific diet strategies for chronic medical conditions, illnesses, or injuries (Singapore Nutrition and Dietetics Association). Nursing: Registered nurses render health services to individuals, families, and communities (Singapore Nursing Board Code for Nurses and Midwives 2018). Speech and Language Therapy: Speech and Language Therapy involves assessment, diagnosis, treatment and management of communication and swallowing disorders (Allied Health Professions Act 2011). Occupational Therapy: Occupational therapy involves assessment and interventions to work or school, self-care, leisure or play, physical environments as well as cognitive, mental and physical components of function to enable individuals affected by physical injury or illness, developmental or learning disabilities, psychosocial dysfunctions or the aging process, to engage in everyday life occupations in order to maximise independent performance of life roles, prevent disability and maintain health (Allied Health Professions Act 2011). Physiotherapy: Physiotherapy involves assessment, treatment, rehabilitation and prevention of pain, injury, or any other physical dysfunction, through the use of education, exercise, manual therapy, electro-physical agents, technology or any other treatment for those purposes (Allied Health Professions Act 2011).

Overview The University of Southampton, in partnership with Oxford International Education Group (OIEG), has successfully launched its first international campus in India, located in Gurgaon, Delhi. Job Purpose The role holder’s contribution will be central to high-quality teaching and learning experiences, developing and implementing internationally-recognized curricula, and supporting rigorous assessment across Economics modules at the University of Southampton Delhi. The role holder is expected to teach Economics modules at both undergraduate (B.Sc.) and postgraduate (M.Sc.) levels. The successful candidate will demonstrate significant teaching experience and be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering modules aligned with international best practices, particularly the UK university curriculum framework, whilst maintaining the highest standards of academic rigor appropriate to the discipline. Candidates with significant teaching experience in teaching in any of the following areas - (a) Macroeconomics & dynamic Analysis (b) Microeconomics & Industrial organization, (c) Labor economics, (d) Econometrics & quantitative Methods and (e) Development & policy - are encouraged to apply. They may also be required to teach other modules within their broader area of specialization, if needed. The ideal candidate will have a track record of effective teaching and curriculum development. A strong quantitative background and demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence are essential for this position.
