About the Job: The College of Science, Mathematics and Technology is seeking highly motivated individuals to join the Department of Natural Sciences at WKU. All faculty positions are full-time assignments, effective at the start of the 2026 Spring or Fall semester. These positions are full-time assignments, appointed on a 3-year contract initially, and are renewable upon a successful review of reappointment. A Lecturer is a full-time employee who teaches 30 credits per year (10-month contract) or 39 credits per year (11-month contract) and provides student and learning support services during the assigned period. Lecturers normally teach up to 3 different courses, with each section typically consisting of 22-28 students. Lecturers will be expected to provide high-quality teaching, student advisement, and learning support services, as well as service to the university, college, school, program, and/or the professional community, and perform related work as required. Teaching assignments and related responsibilities may include day, evening, and weekend classes, depending on institutional needs. Interest or experience in using advanced instructional technologies to improve the teaching/learning process is highly desirable.
