Work that matters The Research Officer will contribute to high‑quality experimental research within the Breast and Prostate Cancer Research Program, including the execution of molecular and preclinical experiments and the generation, analysis, and preparation of research data. Experience To join our community and thrive in this role, you will likely have the following skills and experience:  Experience conducting molecular biology experiments in a wet laboratory setting, including genome‑wide or high‑throughput techniques (e.g. ChIP‑seq, RNA‑seq, ATAC‑seq or related assays). Demonstrated ability to maintain accurate experimental documentation and research data records, and to contribute to the analysis, interpretation, and presentation of research data for reports and publications. Experience in working with generalist software (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel) and relevant specialist software for data analysis, visualisation, and data management. Strong organisational, communication and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary research environment. A degree in Science, Biology or a related discipline with Honours, or equivalent relevant research experience. Desirable: Knowledge of hormone‑dependent cancer biology and/or breast and prostate cancer research. Experience in small animal handling and husbandry, including tissue collection, drug administration, anaesthesia, and minor procedures. Experience working within regulated research environments, including ethics, compliance, standard operating procedures and risk assessments. Experience working with patient-derived samples or translational research pipelines is advantageous. Demonstrated capability in both molecular biology and preclinical animal models will be highly regarded. Introduction As a University of Applied Learning, the Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT) collaborates actively with industry in our research work. We seek a motivated candidate who is keen on rigorous research, the practical applications of code exfiltration and reverse engineering as well as security penetration testing. The primary responsibility of this role is to deliver on an industry innovation research project where you will be part of a research team to investigate and determine potentially critical Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) drone system vulnerabilities impacting confidentiality, integrity and availability. Key Responsibilities Participate in the research project with Principal Investigator (PI), Co-PIs and research team members to ensure all project deliverables are met. Undertake or help guide work and demonstrations in the following tasks: Code exfiltration and binary reverse engineering. Study, understand and analyse mobile platform applications. Android app reverse engineering (Drone apps) Static and Dynamic analysis(experience in tools like Frida, Burp, Wireshark) Develop AI-assisted agents for automated firmware analysis and exploration Build a controlled firmware-replica environment for evaluating protocol security Design, develop and test control augmentation techniques. Adaptation of developed techniques for more generic use. Perform project documentation and crafting of research papers. Carry out Risk Assessment, and ensure compliance with Work, Safety and Health Regulations. Work independently, as well as within a team, to ensure proper operation and maintenance of equipment.  Job Requirements A good degree in Computer Science / Engineering or higher. Proficiency with code exfiltration and reverse engineering. Proficiency with penetration testing techniques and tools. Proficiency with software scripting and development work on desktop and / or mobile platforms. Key Competencies Self-directed learner who believes in continuous learning and development. As a University of Applied Learning, SIT works closely with industry in our research pursuits. Our research staff will have the opportunity to be equipped with applied research skill sets that are relevant to industry demands while working on research projects in SIT. This role supports the Future Ship and System Design (FSSD) Programme, which aims to accelerate the decarbonisation and digitalisation of Singapore’s maritime sector. The project focuses on developing planning methods to support the electrification of harbour craft fleets, using real-world operational data to derive charging demand profiles and infrastructure recommendations. As part of this work, we are seeking a Research Fellow to lead the development of a user-friendly GUI tool that will enable stakeholders to interact with planning models and visualise simulation outputs. The RF will also support increasing coordination between different projects as the number of case studies and incoming datasets continues to grow. Key Responsibilities: Design and develop a GUI tool to make model inputs/outputs accessible to end-users Collaborate with project leads and researchers to ensure technical accuracy of the interface Support integration of simulation outputs across Projects 3-1 and 3-2 Manage and process large sets of operational data for case study analysis Contribute expertise in power grid optimisation to enhance planning models Participate in stakeholder engagements and respond to evolving technical needs Job Requirements: A strong background in power systems, energy modelling, or grid optimisation Proficiency in GUI development (e.g. using Python Dash, Tkinter, or web-based frameworks) Experience working with data-driven simulation and model validation in power grids (Ph.D level is mandatory) Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environment Prior exposure to maritime or transport-related electrification studies is a plus
