The University of Venda is a rural higher education institution located in Thohoyandou, a town in the Limpopo Province of South Africa. The university was established in 1982.
The university offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses across a range of topics in faculties including management, commerce and law, science, engineering and agriculture, humanities, social science and education and health sciences.
The campus has residence spaces for students both across the university and in the surrounding Thohoyandou area. There is an art gallery which houses a range of carvings, sculptures and paintings created by locals and students alike. There’s also a large sports centre and opportunity to partake in extracurricular activities including dance and drama.
The campus provides a library, student services, academic and non-academic societies and sports teams for students to join.
