The University of Swabi was established in 2012 by the KP Government in Anbar, Swabi. Its mission is to advance knowledge and learning through quality research and education for the entire nation. The university is located in Anbar, in the Swabi District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province in Pakistan. Prior to becoming its own district in 1988, Swabi was a town within the Mardan District. Approximately 96 percent of the population speaks Pashto as their first language. The university is organised into various faculties offering both undergraduate and graduate degree programmes. These faculties include economics, geology, microbiology, sociology, chemistry, law, education, mathematics, psychology, tourism, and hotel management. Throughout the year, the university conducts research across a wide range of scientific and academic fields, with publications appearing in two primary journals: the Journal of the University of Swabi (JUS) and the Abaseen Review Journal (ARJ). The university is dedicated to the personal, social, academic, and career growth of all students, faculty, and staff, with the goal of becoming a prominent national and international centre for learning and research. The university has established partnerships with several other higher education institutions to facilitate academic and scientific exchanges. For example, its partnership with Gajju Khan Medical College promotes research in the medical and pharmaceutical fields.

Key Responsibilities Lead end-to-end design processes, from user research and ideation to wireframing, prototyping, and high-fidelity UI design Conduct user research, usability testing, and interviews to uncover insights that inform design decisions Produce high quality UX design solutions through wireframes, visual and graphic designs, flow diagrams, storyboards, site maps, and prototypes. Support the design and development of physical products from early concept through to final production Present designs to customers, develop and iterate designs through sketches, prototypes, renderings and communicate with stakeholders. Work on projects that spread across product development, print, packaging, video storytelling, brand identity, and interactive projects for screens, devices, and space. Build physical and digital models and prototypes to explore and validate design directions. Align with proposed design direction and bring in the voice and emotion to the project through thoughtful features and initiatives. Bring both a strategic eye and a depth of craft in brand and communications design to the project teams. Provide advice and guidance on the implementation of UI/UX research methodologies and instil inspiration into the organization and our partners. Assist in creating prototypes of different levels of fidelity to help enhance the design direction for a project. Applied Research and Innovation Job Requirements Minimum 2 years of experience in Industrial design or UI/UX design, with a strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end design thinking Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Interactive Design or related field. Solid understanding of user-centered design principles, interaction design, and visual design fundamentals A collaborative mindset with the ability to give and receive constructive feedback Experience working within agile or iterative product development environments is a plus Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or equivalent Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, Rhino, or Fusion 360 Familiarity with rendering tools such as KeyShot, Blender, or similarAbility to spark ideas and generate fresh concepts and inspire peers. You will be involved in implementing a Unified Namespace Architecture within AMICs facilities on a state-of-the-art modern infrastructure and demonstrating best practices to industry. About the person 1. Educational Background: Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Engineering, Science, or a related discipline; OR Extensive recent and relevant industrial experience directly related to the role. 2. Technical Expertise: Manufacturing Systems Integration - Understanding of MES, ERP systems and their role within Industry 4.0 architectures. FACULTY OPENINGS AT THE SINGAPORE INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY The Centre for Professional Communication (CPC) equips all SIT students with critical communication skills that are essential for academic and professional success. We currently have positions available from Lecturer to Associate Professor.  Successful candidates will join the Centre as members of a team of accomplished experts who are passionate about incorporating critical thinking in the teaching of academic and professional communication skills that are transferable to the workplace and vital for professional success. Successful candidates will also be actively involved in embedding the teaching of specific academic writing, speaking and workplace communication skills in content modules across academic years and undergraduate programmes in different disciplines. They are also provided with paid leave to undertake consultancy work with industry and/or conduct courses for in-employment learners. It is expected that the Research Assistant/Fellow will work with an increasing degree of autonomy as skills and experience develop. This role focuses on advancing research in two-dimensional materials and ultra-thin material systems, with an emphasis on synthesis, heterostructure integration, and device development for electronic, photonic, and sensing applications. The position involves designing, fabricating, and experimentally validating novel material architectures using advanced nanofabrication and characterization techniques, translating fundamental research into functional prototypes. The successful candidate will produce high-quality research outputs, contribute to competitive funding applications, and effectively communicate findings through publications, reports, and presentations.
