The Molecular Drug Targeting (MDT) Lab is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher with a strong background in synthetic organic chemistry, ideally complemented by experience in medicinal chemistry or chemical biology. The position focuses on functional conjugation chemistry, including protein conjugation, lipid coupling, and the development of tailored molecular probes. You will work extensively with analytical techniques such as NMR and MS and contribute to our fragment-based drug design efforts, integrating structural, thermodynamic, and biophysical insights directly into your synthetic strategy. The lab offers equipment for parallel synthesis, and you will also engage with chemical and biological databases as part of compound design and evaluation. A willingness to learn NMR spectroscopy and basic biophysical methods is expected to characterize protein ligand complexes, as these techniques are central to our integrated discovery pipeline. Experience with LYTACs or targeted degradation approaches is considered an advantage. The successful candidate will work with a high degree of personal responsibility, contribute to a safe and well-organized laboratory environment, and help guide and supervise students.
