About University of Phayao

University of Phayao is a higher education institute with strong support from the royal Thai government. Its history can be traced back to 1996 when a campus of the Naresuan University was renamed Phayao IT Campus. The campus was then promoted to become an independent university in 2010 and became the University of Phayao.

They are: arts, humanities, sciences, social sciences, technology, innovation and the technology transfer institute, and demonstration school. The university offers bachelors, masters and doctoral programmes as well as training courses and workshops.

The spirit of the university is its philosophy that "a life of wisdom is the most wondrous of all". It is committed to providing wisdom for community empowerment through its seven core values. These include competence, freedom, justice, generosity, team learning and working, shared vision, and local and global spirit. By adhering to these concepts, the university believes that its students and staff will develop the wisdom they need to be good citizens.
