Established in 1990, the University of Oradea is based in Oradea, in north-western Romania. Students can study at undergraduate and postgraduate level across 15 different faculties, which are: arts, constructions and architecture, economics, electrical engineering and information technology, energy engineering, environmental protection, geography, tourism and sport, law, letters, management and technological engineering, medicine, orthodox theology, history, political and communication sciences, science and social humanistic sciences. On campus, there’s accommodation for students, offering them the chance to live close to the hub of the university. The hostels are split by gender. There’s also a library and sports facilities for students with an interest in extracurricular activities. The university has established relationships with 214 universities around the world, carrying out academic exchanges, scientific research cooperation and the opportunity for students to study abroad. The university also currently welcomes around 800 international students to its campus. Every year, there’s The International Evening, which is organised by the faculty of medicine and pharmacy. During the event, students from all over the world offer a traditional dinner, while giving everyone the opportunity to show off their cultures and traditions through presentations and musical shows.

Key Responsibilities Lead end-to-end design processes, from user research and ideation to wireframing, prototyping, and high-fidelity UI design Conduct user research, usability testing, and interviews to uncover insights that inform design decisions Produce high quality UX design solutions through wireframes, visual and graphic designs, flow diagrams, storyboards, site maps, and prototypes. Support the design and development of physical products from early concept through to final production Present designs to customers, develop and iterate designs through sketches, prototypes, renderings and communicate with stakeholders. Work on projects that spread across product development, print, packaging, video storytelling, brand identity, and interactive projects for screens, devices, and space. Build physical and digital models and prototypes to explore and validate design directions. Align with proposed design direction and bring in the voice and emotion to the project through thoughtful features and initiatives. Bring both a strategic eye and a depth of craft in brand and communications design to the project teams. Provide advice and guidance on the implementation of UI/UX research methodologies and instil inspiration into the organization and our partners. Assist in creating prototypes of different levels of fidelity to help enhance the design direction for a project. Applied Research and Innovation Job Requirements Minimum 2 years of experience in Industrial design or UI/UX design, with a strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end design thinking Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Interactive Design or related field. Solid understanding of user-centered design principles, interaction design, and visual design fundamentals A collaborative mindset with the ability to give and receive constructive feedback Experience working within agile or iterative product development environments is a plus Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or equivalent Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, Rhino, or Fusion 360 Familiarity with rendering tools such as KeyShot, Blender, or similarAbility to spark ideas and generate fresh concepts and inspire peers. As a University of Applied Learning, the Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT) works closely with industry in its research pursuits. This position is situated within the Centre for Immersification, dedicated to applied research in immersive technologies and bridging the gap between academia and industry. Research staff at the Centre have the opportunity to be equipped with applied research skill sets relevant to industry demands while working on innovative projects within the university. The primary responsibility of this role is to contribute to the design, development, and deployment of an advanced content moderation framework for immersive 3D virtual environments, such as Roblox and Minecraft. The engineer will play a key role in building a parallelized, agent-driven exploration system and integrating a multimodal detection pipeline, ensuring real-time performance, scalability, and deployment readiness in alignment with the project’s research objectives. The successful candidate will work with a diverse team of faculty members, engineers, and industry partners, including renowned researchers at the College of Computing and Data Science (CCDS) at NTU. Technical skills, natural curiosity, versatility, and enthusiasm are highly desired traits that will enable success in this fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Manage the research project together with Principal Investigator (PI), Co-PI and the research team members to ensure all project deliverables are met. Collaborate with the PI, Co-PIs and NTU team to design and develop a robust and scalable software system for autonomous agents navigating immersive 3D virtual environments (e.g., Roblox, Minecraft). Implement a parallelized agent-driven framework where multiple LLM-powered agents operate concurrently to explore user-generated worlds and trigger diverse contextual scenarios. Develop a unified multimodal detection pipeline that integrates video, audio, and text leveraging fine-tuned Vision-Language Models (VLMs) from WP3, supporting zero-shot reasoning and scene-graph inference. Ensure the system is deployment-ready by supporting benchmarking of inference speed, compute efficiency, and scalability with concurrent agents. Enable real-time adaptive learning via human-in-the-loop feedback and reinforcement learning mechanisms in collaboration with other work packages. Maintain high software engineering standards through rigorous testing, version control, clear documentation, and continuous improvement of development infrastructure (e.g., CI/CD, Docker, cloud-based services). Carry out Risk Assessment, and ensure compliance with Work, Safety and Health Regulations. Coordinate procurement and liaison with vendors/suppliers. Work independently, as well as within a team, to ensure proper operation and maintenance of equipment. Job Responsibilities Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, or a related field. Hands-on experience in designing and implementing software systems involving multi-agent frameworks. Familiarity with immersive platform development (e.g., Roblox, Minecraft), including scripting (Lua/Java), agent behavior modeling, event handling, and API-based integration with external AI systems. Experience with distributed systems, reinforcement learning, or simulation environments (e.g., Unity3D, OpenAI Gym, WebGL) is advantageous. Experience in developing and deploying cloud-based applications (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure), including containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), serverless computing, and REST API development. Proficient in Python, with basic experience in machine learning or computer vision libraries; familiarity with Vision-Language Models (e.g., CLIP, BLIP) or scene-graph inference is a plus. Key Competencies Strong software development and debugging skills. Able to design modular, scalable systems and benchmark their performance. Proficient in technical writing and system documentation. Self-directed learner with strong problem-solving and research capability.

Job Purpose The Professional Officers Division (POD) houses a centralized pool of academic staff under the Professional Officers scheme. Professional Officers come with specialised and deep technical skills acquired through extensive industry experience. They form the talent pool which brings a much-needed industry perspective to student learning. They facilitate applied learning and applied research in SIT, complementing the academic expertise of the faculty to bring industry practices and applications into the curriculum. Professional Officers leverage on their industry experiences to create authentic learning environments, where discovery and innovation take place. They act as coaches and mentors to students during practical learning activities such as laboratory sessions, Capstone Projects and the Integrated Work Study Programme (IWSP). Professional Officers could also lead or work with faculty on industry innovation projects to provide solutions to the industry. In addition to their role in applied learning and applied research, Professional Officers manage the centralised laboratory facilities and resources in SIT. With Technical Officers, laboratory safety professionals, and administrators in POD, they jointly develop central policies and processes for the safe and seamless operation of laboratories in SIT. Key Responsibilities Design and teach labs & practice modules. Mentor students in Capstone Projects and the Integrated Work Study Programme (IWSP). Lead or co-lead innovation projects with industry. Manage labs and equipment to support academic programmes and applied research. Ensure safety in labs Job Requirements A good degree in Building Services, Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Masters, PhD and/or relevant professional certifications like registered PE/CEng would be advantageous. Deep technical specialist with 10 or more years of working experience with mechanical systems in Building services environments or facility design consultancy would be preferred. Experience in following areas is highly desirable: Both design and management of mechanical building systems. Use of BIM software for design and engineering works and develop BIM models as well as knowledge in using CAD software such as REVIT, AutoDesk and ArchiCAD. Have working knowledge of building services systems such as Heat Ventilation Air Conditioning (HVAC), refrigeration, lift, heat exchangers, micro-climate, simulations, fire-testing and acoustic experiments Have prior working experience in building and facility management Having experience with materials and materials property as well as materials testing, and fire testing is advantageous. Extensive experience and knowledge of industry practices to bring industry perspective to SIT as well as experience with Green Marking and energy management is advantageous. Keen interest in innovation projects, with demonstrated ability in developing solutions to technical problems. Strong supervisory skills and enjoy working closely with students in an educational environment. Demonstrate proficiency to keep abreast of development in the field and pursue professional certification programs. Possess industrial certifications in relevant areas will be an added advantage.

The EIC-funded project’s objective is to enhance laser technology performance through creating functionalised REDS thin-disks as new optical components for innovative-lasers applications. We’re looking for an enthusiastic postdoctoral fellow to be part of our team to advance our Rapid Pulsed Laser Deposition (RPLD) technology and ultimately develop a new class of active mirror to underpin the next generation of thin-disk lasers. What You’ll Do: innovate: develop scalable RPLD processes to fabricate REDS active mirrors collaborate: work with a dynamic team and engage in interdisciplinary research experiment: gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge physical-vapour-deposition fabrication techniques, lasers, and honing your practical skills explore: help develop a deeper understanding of how to produce a high-quality REDS crystals and scale to practical dimensions.
