We are seeking an excellent academic to join our staff as a temporary Assistant Professor in Chinese Studies for an anticipated three-year period. The person appointed will have a proven record of teaching, research and publication, appropriate to career stage. He/she/they will be expected to make a strong contribution to the teaching programme of the Chinese Studies section and the School and undertake teaching duties on undergraduate and postgraduate programmes as well as the supervision of undergraduate and postgraduate students. Salary: Assistant Professor/Lecturer: €65,401– €103,564 p.a. (7 points) Assistant Lecturer: €42,599– €72,718 p.a. About the Role Working across the end-to-end design lifecycle, you’ll contribute from research and discovery through to design and delivery turning insights into practical, high-impact solutions. You’ll create clear, engaging design outputs such as wireframes, prototypes, journey maps and service blueprints, helping teams bring better experiences to life. You’ll work closely with stakeholders, developers, and project teams across the University, contributing to a growing Digital Experience practice and supporting a more consistent, human-centred approach to design at scale.
