The University of Warwick, based on the outskirts of the city of Coventry, England, first opened its doors in 1965.

Academically, the university is known also for its commitment to research. Warwick maintains around 30 academic departments, organised into four faculties: Arts, Medicine, Science and Social Science. In support of this, the university has an extensive library boasting more than 13 kilometers' worth of manuscripts. Smaller campuses are also maintained at satellite sites.

In terms of recreation, Warwick has a number of different student societies providing for a wide range of interests. In addition, the university’s student union is one of the largest in the UK. Many different events are held on campus, such as music concerts as well as visits from guest speakers.

Some of the most famous alumni of Warwick include Conservative politician David Davis, and former Nigerian president Yakubu Gowon.

The role The Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences is seeking to appoint a motivated individual to join the Clinical Placements Administration Team. The post holder will work closely with the Senior Administration Officer, Clinical Placements Manager, wider clinical placements team, and academic and administrative staff aligned to the School of Health Sciences and Veterinary Medicine to deliver a high quality and efficient service.  The successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate a strong customer focus and understanding of what students, staff and external placement providers will require from them. The role requires a proactive individual, competent in the use of IT with an attitude open to change. The ability to work to a high level of accuracy is also essential. The role will require excellent interpersonal and organisational ability demonstrating adaptability and flexibility with regards to changing workloads and priorities. The successful candidate will need to be able to adapt to different situations and establish rapport with internal and external stakeholders. The key responsibilities for this position include contributing to the academic activities of the Business School through teaching and research and leading the implementation of First Nations Strategic Initiatives by increasing the numbers of First Nations students and staff, enhancing cultural competence, and Indigenising the curriculum. The role also involves developing the Business School's profile and relationships by fostering connections with the First Nations business sector and communities through collaborative programs and strategic engagement. Additionally, the position requires chairing the University of Sydney Business School Indigenous Strategy and Services committee, contributing to key committees, and supporting broader university First Nations strategies. The individual in this role must collaborate and build positive working relationships with other Associate Deans and work as part of the leadership team to improve the school's cultural competence. About you (skills, capabilities and experience) This position has been designated for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people only under the provisions of section 126 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977 (NSW). The successful candidate will hold a (PhD) and identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander. You will have: - a network of established relationships with key Indigenous communities, industry and professional and academic institutions. an understanding of governance, policy and compliance frameworks and the ability to translate strategy into operational plans and processes. have experience in people leadership and management ideally within the higher education/ knowledge worker sector or large complex organisations. Term and remuneration The Associate Dean (Indigenous Strategy and Services) will serve as a three-year fixed-term position with the option for extension for further 2 years, accompanied by a continuing teaching and research position at Professor (Level E) or an Associate Professor Level (Level D) depending on your scholarship track record. Description The Laboratory of Applied Nonlinear Dynamics (L.A.N.D.) within the Division of Engineering at New York University Abu Dhabi invites applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher position, with a start date of November 2026. The successful candidate will have prior research experience, both computational and experimental, in the broad field of nonlinear mechanics. Preference will be given to applicants with expertise in machine learning, wave propagation, metamaterials, and/or fluid–structure interactions. Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline, with no more than five years post receipt of the PhD. Strong English communication skills, the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams, and demonstrated scientific creativity are essential. The selected candidate will be responsible for conducting computational and experimental research in one or more of the aforementioned areas, preparing manuscripts for publication in academic journals and conferences, assisting in the development of research proposals for funding agencies, presenting research findings to both academic and sponsor audiences, and supporting the day-to-day operations of the laboratory.
