The University of Toronto (UofT) is among the world’s most prestigious universities. Founded in 1827, it offers over 700 undergraduate degree and 200 postgraduate degree programmes to a cohort of almost 60,000 students.

With a longstanding reputation for innovation and research, the University of Toronto was the birthplace of such ground-breaking scientific moments as the discovery of insulin and stem cell research, and the invention of the electron microscope.

The university also cites teaching as a strength in disciplines spanning medicine, business, engineering, humanities, education, and more.

With a reputation for producing leaders, it counts five Canadian prime ministers among its former students and associations with 10 Nobel laureates. Other notable alumni include the actor Donald Sutherland and the writers Margaret Atwood and Michael Ondaatje.

It is a multi-campus university, with its St George campus in downtown Toronto likened to Oxford and Cambridge on account of its mix of green space and historical architecture.

The university’s Mississauga campus, on the banks of the Credit River to the west of the city, includes 225 acres of protected green belt, while its Scarborough campus is home to a new aquatics centre.

The university attracts many sports fans and boasts a fearsome reputation in both football and ice-hockey. Other campus attractions include more than 1,000 student organisations in addition to a recreational centre and student facilities that include an art gallery, theatre and concert hall.

Toronto itself is one of the most dynamic, vibrant cities in the world, one which places a high priority on arts and culture, and diversity and tolerance.

The city is also major international centre for business and finance, and is the third largest hub for film and television production after Los Angeles and New York.

Description The Haven Lab, in the Division of Engineering and the Center for Cyber Security, New York University Abu Dhabi, invites applications for a Post-doctoral Associate position in security and privacy. The lab's mission is to provide individuals with control over their privacy and protection from digital threats. We want to work towards a future where digital services are inherently designed with user privacy and safety at the forefront. Current research thrusts involve: Large-scale measurements on the web to understand and characterize harmful online phenomena. Development of AI-based countermeasures for security and privacy, especially in on-device settings. Investigation of attacks/defenses on AI-based systems. The Role and the Department Research and Innovation Services (RIS) provides guidance, expert advice and hands-on support for all aspects of research and research-related work, including securing funding, working with partners, undertaking knowledge exchange, demonstrating impact, commercialising outputs, ensuring good research practice and supporting professional development. This post sits within the Policy, Systems and Performance team in Research & Innovation Services (RIS). Current research systems include Worktribe Research Management, Infonetica Ethics RM, and Dynamics CRM. You will contribute to ensuring our research systems are configured in the most optimal and user-friendly way and that any associated training and communications will be delivered in a clear, concise and timely manner. You will analyse research data and develop and present reports to key stakeholders You will report to the Senior Manager - Research Systems and Reporting but will work closely with colleagues across the Research and Innovation Services Directorate as well as colleagues in faculties, departments and across professional support services. It is essential that as Research Systems and Information Officer you are highly organised and pay close attention to detail. The capability to prioritise and manage a busy and varied workload is crucial. The ability to work across business-as-usual activities and multiple concurrent projects at different stages of development is essential. This role is suitable for hybrid working. The base location for this role is Boldon House, our exciting new professional services hub.Boldon House is situated on the outskirts of Durham near the Arnison Centre in Pity Me.
