About UEA
The University of East Anglia (UEA) is a UK Top 25 university (Complete University Guide 2025) and is ranked in the UK Top 30 (The Mail 2025). It is an internationally renowned university, which offers academic and social facilities of the highest quality.
UEA’s Four Faculties provide research-led teaching with academic rigor in a range of subjects across the Sciences, Arts and Humanities, Social Sciences, and Medicine and Health Sciences. When you choose to study at UEA, you’ll be encouraged to find your voice, join in with debates and come up with original ideas. Campus University
Being a campus university, UEA was purpose built to house everything you need in one place. Its shops, eateries, bars, 24/7 library, live music venue and Sportspark are easily accessible from its wide range of campus accommodation. It is situated in more than 320 acres of parkland and also has an on-campus art gallery, The Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts, where students can get a free membership.
UEA also boasts a thriving social scene with an on-campus live music venue, which also offers weekly club nights and events. Making friends and getting involved in social activities is easy with 200 active sport clubs and societies to join. Whether you’re into tennis, netball, magic or maths – there are plenty of opportunities to try new things, develop your hobbies and meet like-minded people.
UEA isn’t just an inspiring place to study but it is also a great place to live. We have over 3,600 rooms situated on campus, all with free Wi-Fi. The student accommodation covers a variety of price points and its high-quality rooms are within walking distance of its library, cafes, bars, teaching spaces and lecture theatres. With many options to choose from, living on campus makes meeting new people easy. All rooms are fully furnished and grouped round a shared kitchen. Accommodation is self-catering, but if you feel like a change from cooking for yourself, there are plenty of places to eat and drink on campus.

Life in Norwich
The university is located just 20 minutes from the vibrant and historic city of Norwich, which is home to a bustling local music scene, multiple theatres, cinemas and bowling alleys. It is also just two hours from London on the train and close to the beautiful Norfolk coast. With plenty of restaurants, pubs, bars and shops, Norwich is consistently named one of the best places to live in the UK by the Times (2025).
