Maynooth University seeks an outstanding academic to join our staff as Professor (B) in Health Design. The person appointed will have an excellent record in research, scholarship and publication, in teaching and educational innovation, and in academic leadership. They will be expected to make a strong contribution to the teaching, research and profile of the university, and to provide ongoing leadership for the discipline.

This role fits into a strategy of sustained investment and growth in capacity in both Design Innovation and the School of Business, resulting in growth in education programmes, research grants, research impact and multiple awards by students (e.g. Dyson Innovation awards) and staff for their work. This is one of three new Health and Wellbeing Professorships in the Faculty of Social Sciences, as part of our commitment to deepen capacity and impact in this field.

Salary:

Professor B: €106,610 – €142,500 p.a. (6 points) 

Appointments will be made in accordance with public sector pay provisions.

Description

The Center for Interdisciplinary Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (CIDSAI) at NYU Abu Dhabi seeks to recruit a highly motivated researcher to work within its foundation cluster, led by Professors Pierre Youssef, Keith Ross, and Saurabh Ray.

The position will contribute to CIDSAI’s efforts to design AI systems that advance scientific and mathematical discovery, combining machine learning, reasoning, and human-AI collaboration. Successful candidates will work in a dynamic research environment at the intersection of data science, artificial intelligence, and mathematics, alongside faculty and researchers across disciplines.

The successful candidate will contribute to one or more of the following components:


	Reinforcement Learning for Reasoning
	Formal Verification and Lean Automation
	AI-Assisted Collaboration and Problem Formulation


Preference will be given to candidates with strong background in machine learning and mathematical reasoning and experience in one or more of the following:


	Large Language Models (LLMs), multi-agent systems, or reinforcement learning.
	Formal proof assistants (Lean, Coq, Isabelle, or similar).
	Programming.
	Strong mathematical maturity.


Requirements:a Bachelor’s degree in mathematics or computer science, with evidence of strong mathematical and computational skills.

The appointment is for two years, with the possibility of renewal. The terms of employment are very competitive and include housing and educational subsidies for children. About the position

La Trobe University is seeking to appoint an outstanding academic leader as Professor of Allied Health Research in a joint role with Austin Health.

This five-year, fixed-term appointment represents a strategic partnership between La Trobe University and Austin Health to advance world-leading translational allied health research. The position will play a critical leadership role in strengthening research capability, fostering innovation, and delivering impact for patients, clinicians, and communities.

The successful candidate will be employed by La Trobe University and primarily based at Austin Health, working across both organisations to build research capacity and drive collaboration.

Key responsibilities

The Professor will provide strategic leadership and deliver high-impact research aligned to the priorities of both organisations. Specifically, the role will:

Conduct and lead internationally recognised research, in an area that is clinically relevant to Austin Health, including securing competitive grant funding and producing high-quality publications

Build research capacity and capability among allied health clinicians, including mentoring, training and HDR supervision

Strengthen collaborative research partnerships between Austin Health and La Trobe University

Drive the translation of research into practice, delivering measurable improvements in patient care and service delivery

The Position
