The School of Veterinary Medicine aims to create a wealth of new knowledge of the animal world, taking a multi-disciplinary approach to veterinary education and research and creating the veterinary leaders of the future. You will be part of a team of Academic, RCVS & technical staff responsible for delivering a high standard of technical support and teaching within the Spay & Neuter Clinic. About you With experience working with dogs and cats preferably in a veterinary clinical environment, you will have also have understanding of health and safety and animal welfare regulations. This is a fantastic opportunity for a part time RVN looking to work on set days during University term times only for two days per week. You will need to be available on Tuesday and Wednesday each week (16 hours/week) during University terms (20 weeks per year). Applications are invited for a Fixed Term Teaching Fellow in Political Theory The ideal candidate will have the required expertise to supervise UG and PGT dissertations and teach modules primarily in political theory with the potential for some additions as appropriate. Teaching Fellowships offer the opportunity of valuable experience to those early in their academic careers and the University is keen to maximise the benefit to as many people as possible. The post of Teaching Fellow will involve a significant teaching load, which may extend into the summer period, and there may be related scholarship and the opportunity for administrative duties which relate to education and pedagogy. The post is for a fixed term only, and it is not anticipated that the post will be extended beyond this fixed term. Successful applicants will need to be in post by 1 st September 2026. The Department of Biology (www.biol.ethz.ch) at ETH Zurich invites applications for the above-mentioned tenured professorship at the Institute of Biochemistry (IBC; www.bc.biol.ethz.ch). The successful candidate is expected to lead an independent, world-class research programme in the area of cellular organization and dynamics, working at the interface of cell biology, biochemistry and biophysics to tackle cutting edge problems in their field. Example research areas include the spatial, temporal and biophysical organization of cells, gene expression, genome organization, genome plasticity and stability, regulation of cell growth and division, organelle function, membrane biology, membrane-less compartments, intracellular trafficking and transport, and mechanisms of quality control and cellular homeostasis. The new professor will investigate biological systems at the cell, tissue and/or (model) organism level, possibly driving the development of new technologies to probe cellular parameters. Integration of concepts from different fields to develop unified models of cellular function that go beyond correlative observations is desired. The professorship will be embedded in the Department of Biology, which provides complementing expertise in structural biology, functional genomics, systems and computational biology, tissue development and homeostasis, molecular oncology and more. The successful candidate is expected to demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. In general, at ETH Zurich undergraduate level courses are taught in German and English and graduate level courses are taught in English.
