School of Law and Justice Studies The School of Law and Justice Studies at LJMU has a long tradition of marrying academic excellence and practical legal study. The School has a large suite of LLB, LLM, LPC and SQE programmes. The LLB has been adapted to include elements of preparation towards new routes to qualification under the new Solicitors Qualifying Examination. The Legal Advice Centre in the School has been embedded into the undergraduate and postgraduate curriculum to provide valuable experience and skills development for our undergraduate and postgraduate students. The school is the home to the Centre for the Study of Law in Theory and Practice (LTAP). Whilst embracing a wide range of research interests the Centre has particular strengths in Public International Law and Human Rights, European Law, International Criminal Law, Banking Regulation and Finance Law. The school submitted successfully to the REF 2014 and 2021.   As Lecturer in Law or Teaching Fellow in Law, you will be responsible for working with students on our undergraduate and/or postgraduate law programmes. About the role The Deputy Head of Admissions is a senior role responsible for shaping and delivering a high-performing, compliant and applicant-focused admissions service. Working closely with the Head of Student Recruitment, Outreach and Admissions, you will lead admissions activity across both campuses, providing visible leadership at Bournemouth, line-managing the London Admissions Manager, and ensuring consistent, high-quality processes that support the university’s growth. You will have autonomy to manage complex admissions decisions, oversee compliance and risk, contribute to institutional planning through evidence-based insights, and represent Admissions in senior management forums. The role is varied and influential, with flexibility required during peak periods and occasional travel. Description The Embodied AI and Robotics (AIR) Laboratory in the Division of Engineering, New York University Abu Dhabi, seeks to recruit a Research Engineer to support applied research and development in artificial intelligence and robotics. The successful candidate will contribute to projects in Embodied AI, focusing on integrating AI-driven perception, reasoning, and action to enable intelligent robotic behavior across diverse environments. The position involves developing and testing embodied intelligence systems that combine vision-language-action (VLA) modeling, robotic perception and interaction, and autonomous task execution. The Research Engineer will assist in system design, software implementation, and experimental evaluation on robotic platforms, working closely with faculty, postdoctoral researchers, and students. The Embodied AI and Robotics Lab (AIR) develops intelligent robotic systems capable of understanding, learning, and acting in complex, dynamic settings. The lab’s work lies at the intersection of computer vision, multimodal learning, and robotics, advancing next-generation embodied agents that interact naturally and safely with humans and their surroundings. The lab collaborates closely with NYU’s global network, including NYU New York, and offers a vibrant, interdisciplinary research environment. Applicants must hold at least a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or have equivalent professional experience.
