Successful candidates will join the Infocomm Technology (ICT) Cluster (one of five academic clusters in SIT) as members of a team of accomplished experts who are passionate about higher education and deeply involved in industry transformation through applied research programmes.    Faculty in the ICT Cluster undertake funded industry-relevant research, teach courses in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Security and Software Engineering, as well as supervise graduate industry masters and doctorate students in relevant topics. They are also provided with paid leave to undertake consultancy work with industry and/or spend time attached with industry.  We will prioritise collegial and team-spirited candidates with an earned PhD in a related discipline from a reputable university, plus relevant work experience or experience of industry-linked applied research projects. Position Details  Continuing | Full-Time Higher Education Officer Level 7 | $100,233 - $110,954 p.a.  Location: Bedford Park  View Position Description  About Information and Digital Services Information and Digital Services (IDS) are a pivotal resource of the University, providing information and digital technology services and support to the Flinders University staff and student community. The IDS team apply technical expertise to support university projects and provide core services such as the IDS Service Desk, Audio visual, simulation and event services, Information security and identity access management services and more. About the Role  As the Identity Services Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting the operations and continuous improvement of the University’s identity management service – a collection of vendor solutions and custom application code that provides automated user registration, provisioning, authentication, access governance and compliance functionality for the University’s student, staff, and affiliate population. The role works closely with other practitioners and teams to ensure continuous identity management service improvement. Some of the key position responsibilities of the role are: Troubleshooting the operation of the University’s identity management platform (comprising Okta/SailPoint Identity Now/Entra ID/Dell Boomi/Active Directory and custom-developed utilities). Assisting with deployment and integration of new identity management capabilities within implementation teams of varying size, comprising IDS staff, business representatives, and resources from third party suppliers. Interfacing with University stakeholders and customers for identity services, ensuring their requirements are well understood and incorporated into the identity management services and initiatives. Identifying, managing, and mitigating risks related to the activities being undertaken by the role in line with IDS and Flinders University policies and procedures. About You  As the Identity Services Specialist, you will be an experienced specialist, possessing excellent technical management and support skills, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve user provisioning issues across integrated applications, and the University’s identity management platform. You will be assisting with writing technical and user documentation, as well as conducting system testing that enhance the identity service. You are a driven professional with a growth mindset. You are passionate about fostering a positive culture in the workplace and can work independently and as part of a close-knit team. You have the ability to work under pressure and build relationships with various stakeholders across the University. Previous Identity Services employment/experience along with coding, scripting and system admin is highly desirable. Description The Perception and Active Cognition laboratory in the Center for Brain & Health, New York University Abu Dhabi, seeks to recruit a Post-Doctoral Associate to work on the mechanisms underlying mental processing speed. The successful applicant will drive a fascinating project that links processing speed measures to previously acquired functional and structural MRI data. The project will also involve simultaneously acquired and co-registered fMRI and EEG measurements. Measures of cognitive “Speed of Processing” are important for studies of healthy aging and many disorders, including multiple sclerosis, autism spectrum disorders, dyslexia, and schizophrenia, as well as diabetes and obesity. This project investigates the neural correlates of Speed of Processing and its subcomponents, translating into a more complete understanding of the mechanisms involved and their role in brain health. This project combines MRI and EEG/MEG studies with behavioral, genetic, and clinical measures to yield a more complete picture of how processing speed is related to health outcomes.  The candidate will work in a multidisciplinary environment consisting of PhD-level scientists, graduate students and undergraduate students.  Applicants must have a PhD in psychology, cognitive neuroscience or a related field. Strong neuroimaging data processing skills relevant to the project are required. Applicant must have no more than five years post receipt of this degree are eligible for a postdoctoral appointment.
