Founded in 1981, the University of Macau (UM) was the predecessor of the private University of East Asia, which was officially renamed University of Macau in 1991 as a public university. Through the years of development, UM has become a leading and the only public comprehensive university in Macao.

The Department of Japanese (DJP) of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities invites applications for position of Visiting Instructor of Japanese Language. The candidate is expected to engage in teaching Japanese language courses as well as organizing the Department’s student activities. The initial appointment is up to 10 months with a possibility of a second contract (10-month contract) upon mutual agreement. Qualifications Applicants should have a Master’s degree in the field of Japanese Linguistics, Japanese Education, Japanese Literature, or Japanese Culture from an accredited program and some experience and/or qualifications in teaching Japanese language to non-native students.
