About the University of Limpopo
Basic information and contact details for the University of Limpopo
The University of Limpopo was established in 2005 when the University of the North merged with the former Medical University of Southern Africa. Today, the campus is located in the foothills of the Hwiti mountain in Mankweng, South Africa.
There are four main faculties at the university, offering undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes: humanities, health sciences, science and agriculture, and management and law.
The university is part of the iKudu Programme, which uses collaborative online international learning virtual exchanges to add an international aspect to the curriculum. This allows staff and students to benefit from international perspectives without having to travel across the world to access them.
Students are encouraged to get involved in student life on campus, and living on campus can make this process a bit easier. Limpopo’s on-campus residences are available to all students, with first year students gaining priority.
