About the University of Kragujevac

Founded in 1976, the University of Kragujevac is based across six towns of Central Serbia. Half of the faculties are located in Kragujevac and these are: economics, medical sciences, philology and arts, law, science and engineering. While the other half of faculties are located in five towns across Šumadija and Western Serbia region and these are: mechanical and civil engineering, education, teacher training, agronomy, technical sciences and hotel management and tourism. Some courses are taught in Serbian however there are also many courses offered in the English language. There are five dormitories for students to live – two in Kragujevac, and one each in Užice, Čačak and Kraljevo, where over 1,400 students can reside for the academic year. On campus, there are plenty of sports facilities on offer for students. There is an outdoor swimming pool complex, which contains a swimming pool for children, swimming pool for non-swimmers, Olympic pool and diving pool. There is also an indoor swimming pool, sports hall, stadium, tennis courts, basketball and football playgrounds, and a variety of parks for students to enjoy when not studying. The University of Kragujevac has established relationships with universities around the world, carrying out various exchange activities such as academic exchanges, scientific research cooperation and the opportunity for students to study abroad. Partnered universities include UCL (UK), University of Fribourg, (Switzerland) and University Pierre and Marie Curie, Paris (France).

Key Responsibilities Lead end-to-end design processes, from user research and ideation to wireframing, prototyping, and high-fidelity UI design Conduct user research, usability testing, and interviews to uncover insights that inform design decisions Produce high quality UX design solutions through wireframes, visual and graphic designs, flow diagrams, storyboards, site maps, and prototypes. Support the design and development of physical products from early concept through to final production Present designs to customers, develop and iterate designs through sketches, prototypes, renderings and communicate with stakeholders. Work on projects that spread across product development, print, packaging, video storytelling, brand identity, and interactive projects for screens, devices, and space. Build physical and digital models and prototypes to explore and validate design directions. Align with proposed design direction and bring in the voice and emotion to the project through thoughtful features and initiatives. Bring both a strategic eye and a depth of craft in brand and communications design to the project teams. Provide advice and guidance on the implementation of UI/UX research methodologies and instil inspiration into the organization and our partners. Assist in creating prototypes of different levels of fidelity to help enhance the design direction for a project. Applied Research and Innovation Job Requirements Minimum 2 years of experience in Industrial design or UI/UX design, with a strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end design thinking Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Interactive Design or related field. Solid understanding of user-centered design principles, interaction design, and visual design fundamentals A collaborative mindset with the ability to give and receive constructive feedback Experience working within agile or iterative product development environments is a plus Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or equivalent Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, Rhino, or Fusion 360 Familiarity with rendering tools such as KeyShot, Blender, or similarAbility to spark ideas and generate fresh concepts and inspire peers. High proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and other Adobe Suite Tools. Excellent drawing skills with a creative mind to bring new perspectives to the design.

Requirements: A PhD or a Master’s degree (with significant industry experience) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Security, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field from a reputable university. A strong interest in student learning and engagement, and keen to adopt flipped classroom methods, team-based learning, and assessment for learning. Demonstrated teaching excellence, or relevant experience in industry-based education and training. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Industry experience or professional certifications relevant to your teaching areas will be an advantage. Familiarity with applied learning, competency-based education, or work-integrated learning will be an advantage. This is a fixed term post for 4 months to cover maternity leave. An opportunity has arisen to join the team at the Glen Eyre Halls of Residence. This is a fixed-term contract for four months. The post is a busy customer-facing role that is based across two areas- the main reception and the post room. You will be regularly interacting with students, contractors and visitors. You will need to to be used to using IT systems, answering phone calls, and quickly become familiar with the University processes and procedures. There are four other members of the team and you will need to be able to work Monday to Friday between 8am-4pm and 12pm-8pm depending on the rota. The Role The School seeks to appoint a two-year Career Development Fellow in French & Francophone Studies. Applications are welcome from those working in all areas of French & Francophone literary and cultural studies, and we are especially interested to receive applications from those with specialisms in the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries. In line with institutional expectations for Career Development Fellowships, your time will be divided between the three core activities of teaching (60%), research (30%) and citizenship (10%). The post offers an exciting opportunity to develop internationally excellent research/scholarship and teaching while providing unrivalled, tailored support for your career progression at an exciting and progressive institution. Given the developmental nature of the role it is not anticipated that the post will be extended beyond the initial fixed term of two years. Following the end of the term, the role-holder will be in a strong position to apply for relevant permanent academic roles, should they arise, at Durham or elsewhere. Successful applicants are normally expected to be within 8 years of completing their PhD, although career breaks for parental leave and/or health reasons will be considered. This is because the role is aimed at early career academics who would benefit from a structured development programme and provision of both formal and 'on the job' training. The post is also open to those who are returning to academia after a career in another sector. Successful applicants will ideally be in post by 1 September 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter. Description The Smart Materials Lab (Panče Naumov Group) at the Division of Science and Mathematics, New York University Abu Dhabi, seeks to recruit a highly motivated associate research scientist candidate in the areas of Artificial Intelligence (AI) for materials science, with an emphasis on structure-property-relationships, materials optimization, materials under extreme conditions, and generative AI. Candidates must possess substantial experience in artificial intelligence and machine learning methods, specifically in AI-driven materials discovery, machine learning applications for materials, or generative AI related to materials. The successful candidate will independently lead a project focused on developing generative AI models to establish structure-property relationships for materials discovery. This individual will be expected to collaborate closely with the project team and coordinate efforts with experimentalists from the Smart Materials Lab (SML) and the Center for Smart Engineering Materials (CSEM) at NYUAD. The results of this work are anticipated to be published in peer-reviewed journals and presented at prominent conferences.
