The University of Hradec Králové was established in 2000 in the Czech Republic. It was established by renaming the University College of Education which can trace its roots back to 1959. The university is split into five faculties: education; informatics and management; philosophy; science and social work. Fields of study cover the social sciences, humanities, educational studies, natural sciences and information technology studies. Students can choose from many study programmes that cover almost one hundred disciplines. Some 36 programmes are taught in English while the rest are taught in Czech. The university campus is located in the town centre with many of the classrooms and lecture halls within walking distance. It is also in close proximity to the old town which is full of restaurants and bars. The campus includes the university library, the Gaudeamus Publishing House, a textbook shop and an art gallery. A lot of research rakes place in the university across a wide variety of disciplines. A few examples of research projects include biology and plant ecology; IT applications in biomedicine; African culture and history; and social work. The university has partnerships with more than 200 universities around the world and participates in a number of international exchange programmes. The majority of European partnerships are conducted under the Erasmus+ programme. The city of Hradec Králové hosts Hip Hop Kemp, one of the biggest European hip hop festivals as well as Rock for People, which is the biggest rock festival in the Czech Republic. It is also home to one of the Czech Republic's leading orchestra's the Hradec Králové Philharmonic Orchestra.

B1 Grundstufe (praedoc) Reference no.: 5428 Our group covers different topics in theoretical chemistry, from the use of advanced electronic structure methods to the development of dynamical approaches to study photochemical reactions, also including machine learning. The group is part of the Cluster of Excellence “MECS- Materials for Energy Conversion and Storage” and the Sonderforschungsbereich TRR234 “CataLight- Light-driven Molecular Catalysts in Hierarchically Structured Materials”, benefiting from many experimental and theoretical collaborations. Your personal sphere of play: The position is at the Institute of Theoretical Chemistry at the Faculty of Chemistry. You will develop excited-state dynamics methods to improve quantum mechanical effects in trajectory-based simulations. The new method will be applied to systems including light atoms, for example hydrogen and proton transfer reactions. The employment duration is 3 years. Initially limited to 1.5 years, the employment relationship is automatically extended to 3 years if the employer does not terminate it within the first 12 months by submitting a declaration of non-extension. With appropriate work progress, an extension to a total maximum of 4 years is possible. Your future tasks: You actively participate in research, teaching & administration, which means: You are involved in research related to electronic structure theory and non-adiabatic dynamics You will carry out independent computational work, including method development, data analysis and preparation of results for publication. You are expected to sign a doctoral thesis agreement within 12 months. You engage in teaching (independently and/or in a team) within the scope of the provisions of the collective bargaining agreement. You may occasionally be involved in the organization of meetings, conferences and symposiums. You take on administrative tasks in research, teaching and administration. Clinical Research Methodology and Education Specialist for the Centre of Excellence CREATIC | CZECRIN (with working hours 32 - 40 per week) The CREATIC Centre of Excellence of the Faculty of Medicine of Masaryk University in Brno was established on 1 January 2024 and focuses on research and development of cell and gene therapy for selected rare diseases. We are currently looking for a colleague to join our center who will contribute to the design, preparation, development, and expert review of courses within a comprehensive educational program focused on clinical research methodology. The program is primarily intended for professionals in clinical research engaged in lifelong learning. Practical experience in clinical research is desirable, particularly for the ability to translate theoretical principles into concrete and understandable examples. Your responsibilities will include identifying the key courses within the program, co-developing their structure, and defining and preparing expert content in collaboration with other colleagues.
