About The University of Haripur

Located in Pakistan’s Khyber province, The University of Haripur was founded in 2008 as a campus of Hazara University.

It become a university in its own right in 2012.

There were just two faculties when the university was founded: social and administrative science and basic and applied science.
There are now five faculties agricultural science, biomedical and health science, information technology and engineering, natural science and social and administrative science. This has been accompanied by substantial investment in infrastructure and faculty.

New courses include Pakistan’s first degree in medical laboratory technology.

The university also provides training sessions for local farmers in new agricultural technology. The University of Haripur is also a member of the recently-formed China-Pakistan Traditional Medicine and Infectious Diseases Prevention and Control Alliance.
