About University of Gujrat

The University of Gujrat is located in a historic walled city in Gujrat, in central Punjab, in Pakistan.

The university was founded by the Punjab government in 2004.
The main campus, city campuses of Marghzan Colony and GT Road and the Mandi Bahauddin sub-campus are all co-educational. There is a female-only campus at Fawara Chawk.

The university is divided into faculties of arts, computer and information science, engineering and technology, management and administrative science, social science, science and the school of arts and design.

The Medical School was established in 2008 and offers courses in medicine, dentistry, physiotherapy, nursing and nuclear medicine and is developing the 400-bed Aziz Bhatti Shaheed Hospital as a teaching hospital.

Around 2,500 part-time students take evening classes offered by the faculty of evening programmes.
