Position Overview The Senior Advisor, Research provides comprehensive senior support on a diverse range of policy-relevant research and engagement priorities. This includes applying a strong working knowledge of national security, resilience and preparedness issues and research skills to conduct policy research independently and in teams. The Senior Advisor, Research assists in the management of the NSC’s Policy and Engagement functions, working with Academic, Executive Education and Futures Hub leads in maximising research output, policy-relevance, engagement and impact, including in the context of NSC Community Consultations, conferences and events. The role is conducted in line with NSC’s services agreements with the Commonwealth and the NSC Charter, while ensuring that University, ethical and legal requirements are met.
