The University of Delta is a public university located in Agbor, Delta State, Nigeria, officially established in 2021. It originated from the College of Education, Agbor, founded in 1979 by the former Bendel State Government.
Following the creation of Delta State in 1991, the college became state-owned. The university operates across three campuses: Agbor, Owa-Oyibu, and Owa-Alore.
The university offers undergraduate and postgraduate programmes through five faculties: agriculture, arts, education, information technology, medicine, and law.
The establishment of the university was part of a strategic initiative by the Delta State Government to expand access to higher education.
The campuses provide modern facilities supporting learning, research, and student life.
