The University of Craiova was established in 1947 and is located in the largest city in southwestern Romania, Craiova.
The university has 12 faculties in total, offering an extensive range of degree programmes that include: agronomy; automation, computers and electronics, law, economics and business administration, physical education and sport, horticulture, electrical engineering, letters, mechanics, theology, sciences, and social sciences. Across these faculties, programmes are offered at a bachelor’s, master’s, and doctorate levels. Teaching degrees are also on offer to prospective students.
The University of Craiova has two campuses: Craiova and Drobeta-Turnu Severin. The Craiova campus includes technology, economics, informatics and secretarial work, while the Drobeta-Turnu Severin campus has administration and informatics.
There are a range of facilities available on campus including a library, the Craiova Botanical Garden, a university TV station and a mechanics complex.
The university places a strong emphasis on its international partnerships through a range of programmes including Erasmus, Comenius, Leonardo da Vinci and Grundtvig.
