Our Team Meissel currently consists of 1/2 post doc, 2 prae docs, student assistents and administrative colleagues. What is particularly important to us is to strive for top quality scholarship and passionate teaching. Your future tasks: You actively participate in research, teaching & administration, which means: You are involved in research projects and scientific studies in the area of Roman Law, Private Law, Historical Comparative Law , Contemporary History. We expect you to finalize your dissertation agreement within 12-18 months. You work on your dissertation and its completion. You hold courses independently within the scope of the provisions of the collective bargaining agreement. You take on administrative tasks in research, teaching and administration. Lecturing activities This is part of your personality: Completed Master's degree or Diploma, in the field Law/Legal Studies Basic experience in academic writing and with research methods Didactic competences / experience with e-learning Excellent command of written and spoken foreign Languages (English, French, Latin) IT user skills Desireable knowledge is History of European Private Law and Private Law You should be a team player with high social skills What we offer: Work-life balance: Our employees enjoy flexible working hours and can partially work remotely.  Duration of contract: The employment duration is 4 years. The focus of our research is criminal law and criminology. Our Team currently consists of one post doc, three prae docs, one teaching assistant and one administrative colleagues.
