University of Business and Science (UBS)

The University of Business and Science has six campuses: two in the capital city, Tashkent, and four in Namangan region, on the border with Kyrgyzstan. 

The university aims to produce future teachers, accountants and financiers – a goal that is reflected in the fields of study on offer. Students can enrol in faculties including: primary education; preschool education; philology and language teaching (in English, Uzbek and Russian); economics; taxes and taxation; and finance and financial technologies. Students can also enrol in UBS’s International Medical School. 

Plans for a modernised Namangan campus include onsite student dormitories. Meanwhile, in Tashkent, student dormitories are located very near to the campus. Dormitories are equipped with heating and airconditioning, a kitchen and a cafeteria. Students are offered access to trained counsellors and student support services, as needed. 

Because UBS focuses on practice-based education, its student clubs and societies aim to provide students with real-world, hands-on experiences. For example, the media club offers digital and PR experience. Academic and professional clubs allow students to enhance and apply their classroom knowledge. And the UBS Stars troupe gives students an opportunity to appear on stage in sketch and comedy routines.
