University of Buraimi was founded in 2010. It is the only university in the governorate of Al-Burami, located in the north-east of Oman, on the border with the United Arab Emirates. 
The majority of courses are taught in English.
The faculty of law offers one undergraduate course. Health sciences offers nursing, optometry and occupational health and safety. Engineering offers the civil, mechanical, information and communication, and architectural disciplines along with interior architecture and artificial intelligence.
The school of business offers business administration and e-business, management, human resources and intercultural management, business administration focussed on e-Marketing and social media, banking and Islamic finance, global supply chain management and logistics, and management information systems. There is also an Arabic-taught degree in human resource management.
The four colleges offer 16 diploma and seven master's courses.
The college for foundation studies runs programmes in English, maths, information technology and study skills to bridge the gap between school and university.
On-campus facilities include a women’s hostel.
Facilities include a solar power plant and medical simulation laboratories for nursing students.

About the role

As a VE Teacher at RMIT, you will be mainly responsible for delivering course material, assessing students, and supervising students enrolled in selected courses in the schools.


	Effective interpersonal and communication skills relevant to teaching and consultancy environments. This includes effective presentation and facilitation skills, and in the use of flexible teaching methods.
	Skills and experience in competency-based assessment and ensuring current and contemporary vocational competence meets and/or exceeds the education level being delivered and assessed.
	Experience in relevant industry, and substantial discipline knowledge as it relates to this position.
	The capacity to diagnose learning problems in students and propose and implement effective solutions.


Qualifications


	Relevant Qualifications - Certificate 4 Training & Assessment (enrolled or finished) as a minimum

Applications are invited for a new course coordinator post at the University of Cambridge Department of Medicine, to be appointed by September 2026. The primary responsibility of this role will be to provide support to the Course Director for the Master's in Bioscience (MBE) MPhil, which will welcome students in October 2027.

The postholder will play a key role in supporting the course director in delivering and managing the academic and research components of the Master's in Bioscience (MBE) MPhil. The MBE Programme Coordinator will work closely with the MBE Programme Director and liaise daily with the programme lecturers (over 100 external speakers), the majority of whom work in industry, as well as bioscience, technology, enterprise and other relevant stakeholders in the University ecosystem and industry. The successful candidate will be involved in the administrative side of student enquiries and selection of candidates, and they will also support lecturers to access materials and upload presentations on a daily basis. The postholder will also be the first point of contact for prospective applicants and current students on the course. In this capacity and through complementary activities, the postholder will champion and develop the teaching and research profiles of the Department of Medicine.

The one-year MBE Programme is designed for a cohort of 25-35 students and receives over 150 applications each year. The MBE is an intensive taught postgraduate course consisting of lectures, coursework, group and individual assessments, an industry consultancy project, a research project hosted by a company and business plan development for the students' own ventures. Students come from diverse backgrounds ranging from life sciences to financial services and are highly sought after by industry following the course, typically securing senior executive positions in industry.

Applicants must be educated to A-level standard/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent post-16 level of education or have an equivalent level of practical experience. Applicants should have a record of working in an administrative role (paid or voluntary) and of demonstrating accuracy, attention to detail and organisational skills. Proficiency in working with Microsoft Office. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

Experience in working in the field of higher education and a knowledge of postgraduate education at the University of Cambridge are highly desirable. The successful candidate will be supported to develop in the role and take on further responsibilities where appropriate.

Fixed-Term: The appointment will be made on a three-year fixed-term basis in the first instance, with the possibility of extension in the future.

RESEARCH ASSISTANT (PSYCHOLOGY/ OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY) AT THE SINGAPORE INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY (SIT)

SIT Health and Social Sciences (HSS) is seeking candidates for the position of a Research Assistant for the research study ‘Integrative Neuro-social cognitive Strategy Programme for Instilling REcovery (INSPIRE): a Community-Based Cognitive Remediation Trial”.

This study attempts to investigate the effects of cognitive remediation on neurocognition, social cognition and functional outcomes of persons with schizophrenia/schizoaffective disorders in the community mental health setting. It will be conducted in five community-based psychiatric rehabilitation centres. The Research Assistant is expected to work closely with colleagues at the five psychiatric rehabilitation centres, conduct outcome measurements and carry out all administrative procedures in accordance with research governance policies. The Research Assistant will also need to be able to work independently.

Applicants should possess:

a. an earned Bachelor with Honours degree in Psychology or Occupational Therapy from a reputable university.

b. experience in research work in the field of mental health, particularly in cognitive remediation. 

c. skills in organising research dataset, with the ability to conduct basic statistical analyses.

d. prior experience in administering cognitive assessments.

The Context - Why We Need You

'Reimagining Pathways into Environmental Science through Showcasing Technical Careers' is a 29- month project at Durham University funded by the Natural Environment Research Council (NERC). The project aims to empower young people from socially disadvantaged backgrounds into a technical career in environmental science. Part of the NERC 'Opening up the Environment 2026' work programme, the project seeks to lead and influence opportunities to enable a technical career. It collaborates with environmental science partners to develop opportunities for young people to consider a career in environmental science. It will evaluate and embed learnings from the project that will influence T Level policy and curriculum development. The project has workstreams around the promotion of technical careers, T Level placements, and policy and partnerships between regional Further Education colleges and environmental science industrial partners.

The Role and the Department

The RPM will manage the day-to-day administration of the project including project timeline, key deliverables, financial management (in liaison with the RIS post-award team) and meeting administration. The RPM will support the workstream leads in the organisation of key elements within each workstream, including collaborating with key internal and external stakeholders (including FE Colleges and students) to organise and establish T Level placement opportunities and meeting liaison with industry partners and collaborators. The RPM will lead on event organisation and marketing, and the communications and engagement plan. The PM will work alongside the project team to ensure the smooth running of the project and that risks are mitigated and managed. The RPM will also be involved in the project reporting phase enabling the dissemination of outputs, as well as the final close of the project.
