Our community

We offer courses across Engineering & Design, Humanities & Social Sciences, Science, and the School of Management.

The campus

The University’s campus is set on attractive rural grounds overlooking the historic city of Bath. You don’t have to walk far to reach facilities like the Library, postgraduate common rooms, shops, and post office.

In the last decade, we have invested over £450 million in our campus. This includes new accommodation, academic buildings, and sports facilities such as an Olympic legacy swimming pool and a gym and fitness centre across three floors.

Our vibrant campus, and location right on the edge of the city of Bath, offer sporting, social and cultural opportunities. The Sport University of the year award reflects our commitment to offer sport at every level. We are one of the safest campus sites in the UK - we were one of the first universities in the country to win a national police approved security award.  

The city

Bath is a lively, friendly, and historic city, surrounded by beautiful countryside. The city is home to global businesses and start-up companies, so you can find local employment opportunities while you study and when you graduate.  Bath is inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage list twice; for its historic architecture and as one of the Great Spas of Europe.

Small enough to explore on foot, you can discover its beautiful stone buildings and the natural hot springs which gave the city its name. Scholarships

Postgraduate Taught scholarships

We have a number of scholarship schemes for full-time taught master’s courses for September 2026. Explore all our scholarships.

This includes:

Faculties of Science, Humanities & Social Sciences and Engineering & Design

·       250 Bath Global Excellence Scholarship  worth £10,000 and 100 Bath Merit Awards worth £5,000 are available to high achieving international students.

·       The Diamond Scholarship awarded for academic excellence to applicants from the UK. Awards are worth £3,000.

School of Management

Up to £3 million in scholarships for high-achieving home or international master’s students. We also offer MBA scholarships.

Undergraduate scholarships

We’re offering up to 300 Bath International Excellence Scholarships worth £8,000 per academic year - £24,000 over three years - for high-achieving international students joining an undergraduate degree course in September 2026.
