The University of Baltistan, Skardu (UOBS) is a young educational institution that aims to provide quality higher-education opportunities to the people of the Pakistani region of Gilgit-Baltistan. It was established in 2017, as an initiative by the Federal Government of Pakistan to cater to the educational needs of the local population. Initially, the university was known as KIU Skardu Campus, operating as a constituent college under the umbrella of Karakoram International University (KIU). However, it later on gained autonomy and was recognised as a separate university. The university is recognised and regulated by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan, ensuring that its academic standards meet the required criteria for higher-education institutions in the country. University of Baltistan, Skardu offers a variety of academic programmes across multiple disciplines. Students can choose to study with seven departments computer sciences, biological sciences, mathematics, chemistry, business management, educational development and language and cultural studies. The main campus of the University of Baltistan is situated on Kargil Road Hussainabad in Skardu. The university has established satellite campuses in other locations, such as City Campus Satellite Town Skardu, Sundus Campus Subdus Skardu, and Anchan Campus near Dr. Irshad Ali Chowk Skardu. The university offers a master's programme in languages and cultural studies with a specialisation in English. This programme aims to promote an understanding of the rich linguistic and cultural diversity of the region. As an international level university, UOBS is open to collaborations and partnerships with institutions from other countries. It is committed to fostering global connections and exploring opportunities for international academic exchanges and research collaborations.

The Academy is seeking the Part-time Lecturers in the fields of Social Work, Counselling, and related disciplines. These roles involve teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Candidates should be capable of teaching postgraduate courses in the following areas: Family Therapy Mental Health Narrative Therapy  Social Work with Youth Career Counselling Social Work and Law Social Service and Crisis Management Requirements: A relevant master's degree or above in Social Work, Counselling or related discipline; Registered Social Workers (RSW) in Hong Kong is an advantage; Possess at least five years of post-degree professional experience; Relevant professional experience in fields, such as family, youth, rehabilitation, and counselling; and Good proficiency in spoken and written Chinese (including Putonghua/Mandarin) and English. Appointees may need to work in Mainland settings and travel to Mainland China occasionally. The initial appointment will be made on a part-time basis commencing September 2025. Applications are invited at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor, based on the candidate’s experience and academic record. Essential Qualifications Medical degree. Doctoral degree (PhD or equivalent) in Gastroenterology or a relevant field. Specialty certification in Gastroenterology (Board Certification or equivalent) and relevant clinical experience. Eligibility for full, unrestricted medical licensure in Greece, permitting independent practice of Gastroenterology. Proven record of undergraduate and/or postgraduate teaching relevant to the subject area. Research portfolio and publication record commensurate with the rank sought. Excellent command of Greek and English. Key Responsibilities Develop, deliver, and regularly update content relevant to their specialty across the curriculum of the Doctor of Medicine (MD) programme, from pre-clinical courses to clinical rotations, as well as in postgraduate programmes. The successful candidate will be expected to engage students through innovative teaching methods, fostering critical thinking, clinical reasoning, professional values and ethical practice. Provide clinical education leadership, overseeing curriculum design and delivery, student assessment and continuous quality improvement, and provide mentorship to junior members of the clinical education team. Provide mentorship and guidance to students, including advising on research projects, theses, and career development. Conduct high-impact research in Gastroenterology, securing external funding to establish and sustain these programmes. Disseminate findings through peer-reviewed publications and presentations at national and international conferences. Serve on Departmental and School committees and assist with strategic planning and development. Advance the School’s mission by leading community outreach initiatives, holding leadership roles in relevant professional societies, and building strategic partnerships with healthcare and regulatory organisations. Job Description SCHOOL OF CREATIVE ARTS Project MuSE Project MuSE is a multi-year transformational education project. The scope of the project covers a wide range of opportunities for the under-privileged, gifted students, parents' engagement, community music, industry-higher education collaboration, and curriculum development such as the use of EdTech, art-tech, interdisciplinary learning, cross-cultural studies, and performance and pedagogical research. A key component of the project includes a new 5-6 year music programme that includes an in-school/after-school instrumental ensemble-based music training for primary school students. Part-Time Instrumental Instructor (25260513) Responsibilities: Provide instrumental group training classes to participating primary schools; Communicate and coordinate lessons with project team and participating schools; Proactively seek innovative ways in instrumental teaching; Assist in carrying out program content designed by project team; and Perform any other duties, such as school performances and instrument demonstrations, as assigned to support the successful operation of the project and the school. Requirements: A bachelor’s degree in Music or above; Open-minded and willing to try new ways of teaching and learning;  Strong communication and interpersonal skills; and Demonstrated ability to work independently with high level of self-motivation and accountability. Responsibilities: Assist in data collection and management of ongoing research projects, including conducting surveys, interviews, and focus groups with students and stakeholders; Conduct literature reviews and contribute to data analysis, including statistical analysis using SPSS; Prepare reports, presentations, and other materials to support project planning, implementation and evaluation; Liaise with schools, NGOs, community organisations, and other stakeholders to facilitate cross-sector collaboration; Engage with South Asian community members to ensure culturally sensitive and effective project delivery; Perform administrative and project management tasks as required; and  Undertake other duties as assigned by the Dean or his delegates. As Singapore’s University for Industry, SIT works closely with industry partners in our research pursuits. Our research staff will have the opportunity to be equipped with applied research skill sets that are relevant to industry demands while working on research projects in SIT. The primary responsibility of this position is to deliver on a research project to develop an End-to-end misinformation and disinformation protection, awareness and mitigation pipeline. We will be recruiting a research engineers or fellows, as part of a wider project, to conduct research on: LLM/VLM, media comparison, AI-assisted explainability. The need is for a real-time system, so efficient coding is important. Key Responsibilities: Participate in and manage the research project with Principal Investigator (PI) Ian McLoughlin, Co-PI Tong Rong and the research team members to ensure all project deliverables are met.  Undertake research within your domain, including keeping track of state-of-the-art work. Develop the code, evaluate and test. Write academic publications. Deliver solution-ready demonstration code. Interact well within the team and the customers. Be self-directed to fulfil the project requirements. Job Requirements: Competence in working with languages such as C along with Python-based coding and AI development. Have a degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering. Possessing a Master’s or PhD degree will definitely be advantageous. Knowledge of machine learning, pytorch, huggingface etc... Knowledge of image processing is required. Ability to effectively and efficiently utilise industry-standard Linux-based computers for AI. Experience of authoring good quality academic publications. Manage undergraduate research assistants (if appropriate). Liaise with customers and collaborators in A*STAR and NTU, as well as collaborators in the UK and China.
