Universiti Geomatika Malaysia was originally established in 2000 as a vocational centre, offering courses in land surveying. Noting a growing demand for such a specialisation, the centre submitted an application for college status and obtained the approval from the Ministry of Education. 
The university is organised academically into five faculties: Faculty of Asia Built Environrment, Faculty of Bioeconomics, Food and Health Sciences, Faculty of Education and Social Science, Faculty of Meta Technology, and the Faculty of Hospitality and Lifestyle. All five faculties offer a diverse range of both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
There is also the IQRA Business School, which offers various diploma, bachelor’s and master’s degrees, each designed to cater to the different interests and career aspirations of students, whether they seek to pursue research, work in the public sector, or join the private industry.

Join a dedicated team of scientists within the Centre for Freshwater Ecosystems (CFE), which is one of 13 Research Centre’s within the School of Agriculture, Biomedicine and Environment at La Trobe University.  CFE brings together a broad range of expertise to deliver basic and applied research to support the sustainable management of freshwater ecosystems.

We require a quantitative ecologist with skills/experience in statistical and quantitative modelling. The successful candidate will contribute to projects on flow-ecology relationships and habitat suitability modelling for freshwater organisms and will be comfortable working with large datasets, including spatial information, hydrologic data and survey records.

Skills and Experience

To be considered for this position, you will have:


	completed a PhD or equivalent qualifications or research experience

​​Working as part of a world-class academic team based in the Department of Forensic and Neurodevelopmental Sciences at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience (IoPPN), the successful candidate will play a central role in the delivery of a high-profile collaborative research project funded by the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR).​

About the role

Applications are invited from highly motivated and talented candidates for a position of Post-Doctoral Research Associate to work on an NIHR-funded project evaluating Care (Education) and Treatment Reviews (C(E)TRs) for people with a learning disability and autistic people (the OptiCaT project). C(E)TRs were introduced in 2015 as a key intervention in ensuring that people with a learning disability or who are autistic receive the right support in the community and do not spend too long in hospital, if they are admitted. The impact of C(E)TRs on clinical and other outcomes has not been extensively studied.

The OptiCaT research programme takes a mixed methods approach. The successful applicant will have a key role in the qualitative work package which aims to understand multi-stakeholder perspectives of the C(E)TR process and how this may be improved. This will include participant recruitment through various means, data acquisition (primarily through individual semi-structured interviews), data analysis, and working with the research team and PPI co-researchers to interpret the data and disseminate findings.

In addition, the successful applicant will work with the team to deliver a prospective study within NHS services that investigates the current use and impact of C(E)TRs amongst children and adults with a learning disability or who are autistic. This will include recruitment activities, liaison with study sites, and conducting baseline and follow-up participant assessments. The post-holder will be supported in these tasks by the wider research team and Clinical Studies Officers.

This is a full-time post (35 hours per week), and you will be offered ​a fixed term​ contract until February 2028. The role will be based at the main IoPPN building at the Denmark Hill campus of KCL.

Research staff at King’s are entitled to at least 10 days per year (pro-rata) for professional development. About you

To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience:

Essential criteria


	PhD in relevant area (awarded or near completion).
	Substantial experience of using qualitive methods and undertaking qualitative analysis.
	Experience of working with diverse populations and with people with intellectual disability and/or autistic people.
	Experience of applied clinical research in the NHS.
	Awareness and understanding of practical and ethical issues involved in mental health research studies.
	Ability to publish in peer-reviewed academic journals as evidenced by journal publications and/or conference abstracts.
	Willingness and ability to work flexibly, according to the needs of the project, including travelling to research sites.
	Motivated and self-disciplined and with excellent time-management and organizational skills.


Desirable criteria


	​Experience of coordinating large, multi-stranded research projects.
	Evidence of working successfully with Patient and Public Involvement groups through a range of activities.

About the position

The Department of Languages and Cultures in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences is seeking to appoint a lecturer in Greek Studies. The appointee will teach undergraduate subjects in Greek language as well as potentially contributing to cultural subjects in the European languages.

The Department of Languages and Cultures includes the disciplines of Asian Studies, Classics and Ancient History, Creative Writing, English, Languages (Auslan, Chinese, French, Greek, Hindi, Italian, Japanese, Spanish), Linguistics and Visual Arts; covering a rich diversity of disciplines that fosters a deep engagement with society and culture.

Duties at this level will include:


	Coordinate and teach subjects providing a high-quality learning experience that engages students through the conduct of lectures, tutorials, practical classes, demonstrations, workshops, student field excursions, clinical sessions and/or other sessions in online, blended or face-to-face modes.
	Demonstrate effectiveness by taking an evidence-based approach to evaluate learning and teaching initiatives.

This postdoctoral role is part of the UKRI Future Leaders Fellowship on justice in critical minerals governance across Australia, Chile and Ghana led by Dr Clement Sefa-Nyarko.

About The Role

This role will support the methodological development of the UKRI Future Leaders Fellowship – Justice in Critical Minerals Governance and Energy Transitions – focusing on Hermeneutical Ethnography, Visual Embodiment Methodologies, and participatory research approaches.

The project addresses the urgent need to understand and integrate justice into global energy transitions, particularly in the governance of critical minerals. The project responds to deep contestations over the meaning and purpose of justice in the shift to net zero emissions, which have led to policy gaps, community grievances, and disruptions in global supply chains. At its core is a pioneering methodology – Hermeneutical Ethnography – which enables the collection, co-creation, and interpretation of verbal and non-verbal expressions, including silences, symbols, and stories. This approach facilitates a deeper exchange of meaning between communities and researchers, allowing aspirations and lived experiences to shape justice frameworks that are both empirical and conceptual. The project will apply this methodology in mining communities across Ghana, Chile, and Australia, focusing on Lithium and other critical minerals essential for clean technologies. By capturing the voices and silences of those most affected by extractive industries, the project aims to build a bottom-up, data-driven framework for justice that informs national policies and global climate agendas. It will explore how environmental degradation, livelihood loss, and socio-political tensions can be mitigated through inclusive governance and strategic partnerships. Ultimately, the overarching Fellowship seeks to elevate justice to the same level of urgency as scientific and technological innovation in climate action. It will generate distinctive empirical data and foster interdisciplinary expertise, ensuring that the post-2030 UN Sustainable Development Agenda fully accounts for justice in energy transitions.

The postholder will work within the African Leadership Centre, Global Institutes, School of Global Affairs at King’s College London, contributing to the design and implementation of this bottom-up knowledge systems that centre community voices and silences in critical minerals governance. The role involves collaboration with international partners in Ghana, Chile, and Australia, and supports training and mentoring of a small research staff across the project. The postholder is responsible for developing and refining research methodology, training research staff, and supporting interdisciplinary collaboration. The postholder will work in collaboration with Dr Sefa-Nyarko and the wider Fellowship team and partner institutions.

This is a full time post (35 hours per week), and you will be offered a fixed term contract for 3 years, but starting off with an initial one year contract renewable for up to the 3 years.

The position is part of the Solar System Evolution group led by Ass.-Prof. Kristina Kislyakova. The main research direction of this group consists of unraveling the evolutionary pathways of the Solar System bodies, in particular Earth, Venus, and Mars, and determining the place of the Solar System within the larger family of exoplanets.

Your working place:

The Department of Astrophysics with currently around 90 members is part of the Faculty of Earth Sciences, Geography and Astronomy at the University of Vienna. We are searching for a Senior scientist to contribute to the development of numerical codes used by the Solar System Evolution group and other groups at the department. Our ideal candidate has a scientific background in the evolution of stellar and planetary atmospheres and strong background in computational astrophysics and software development.

The job consists of two equally important parts: 1) to contribute to the research in the area of atmospheric evolution with the focus on atmospheric escape and 2) to take the lead in developing and supporting computational tools for atmospheric studies, such as finding the best solvers that can be used in the codes used by the Solar System Evolution and other groups at the department.

The position is initially limited to 3 years with possibility to become permanent by mutual agreement. The starting date is as early as February 1st, 2026, but no later than June 1st, 2026.

Your future tasks:

Active participation in research, teaching & administration, which means:


	You build an excellent research profile in the field of planetary and stellar atmospheres, and Solar System research.
	You lead and participate in scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals and presentations at international meetings.
	You take the lead in the application of new computational tools, such as solvers, to the existing codes used by the group such as the hydrodynamic atmospheric codes for planetary and stellar atmospheres and particles codes.
	You contribute software expertise to other computational astrophysical groups.
	You (co-)supervise Bachelor, Master, and Doctoral students in Astronomy.
	You hold courses independently within the scope of the provisions of the collective bargaining agreement.
	You take on administrative tasks in research and teaching as well as evaluation procedures.

	A completed doctoral/PhD degree in astronomy/astrophysics
