Universiti Geomatika Malaysia was originally established in 2000 as a vocational centre, offering courses in land surveying. Noting a growing demand for such a specialisation, the centre submitted an application for college status and obtained the approval from the Ministry of Education. The university is organised academically into five faculties: Faculty of Asia Built Environrment, Faculty of Bioeconomics, Food and Health Sciences, Faculty of Education and Social Science, Faculty of Meta Technology, and the Faculty of Hospitality and Lifestyle. All five faculties offer a diverse range of both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. There is also the IQRA Business School, which offers various diploma, bachelor’s and master’s degrees, each designed to cater to the different interests and career aspirations of students, whether they seek to pursue research, work in the public sector, or join the private industry. The university is actively involved in a variety of research and development initiatives, aimed at tackling real-world challenges in areas such as urban planning, environmental management, and disaster response. The university is located in Kuala Lumpur, the capital and largest city of Malaysia. Defined by the iconic Petronas Twin Towers, Kuala Lumpur is situated in the west-central Peninsular of the country.

The Library at LJMU provides a wide range of digital information tools and resources and access to the digital publications needed by all our students, researchers and staff. We support our users in getting the most out of digital content, whether they are consumers or creators, with advice and training, and a high-quality digital experience when using our applications. We have extensive walk-in facilities available to all members of the public. We are the custodian of the collected outputs of all the University’s researchers, including articles, data and doctoral theses. The library provides training, support and systems for researchers to enable them to achieve their full potential and create a global impact. The Library are now looking for a Library Engagement Team Leader to join our Library Engagement team, providing high-quality frontline support for students and staff across our library services. You will be an enthusiastic, friendly and adaptable person and play a key role in managing the day-to-day work of the team, ensuring that excellent customer service standards are consistently delivered. You will lead and support colleagues delivering face-to-face and digital enquiry services, helping to maintain an efficient, responsive and user-focused service. You should be educated to degree level or have equivalent relevant experience. Candidates without formal qualifications but with significant, relevant experience will also be considered. You will have experience working in a customer-focused, service delivery environment, ideally within a library, IT or educational setting, along with experience of delivering enquiry services in a digital environment. You should have excellent communication, customer care and team working skills, alongside the ability to manage, motivate and develop staff. A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and digital systems is essential, as is the ability to gather and analyse information to support service improvements. You will be confident working both independently and as part of a team, able to problem-solve effectively and maintain high service standards under pressure. Experience of supervising staff, contributing to service development or projects, and an interest in innovation and continuous improvement will be advantageous. A flexible approach and willingness to acquire new skills are essential to support service delivery in a changing environment. Description The Perception and Active Cognition (PAC) Lab at New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) is seeking an Emirati Junior Research Scientist for a 30-month position supporting a collaborative research project between NYUAD and the National Academy of Childhood Development (NACD), a subsidiary of Abu Dhabi Early Childhood Authority. Applicants with a background in psychology, neuroscience, linguistics and developmental psychology are encouraged to apply. Terms of employment include competitive salary and benefits. This role involves on-site work across NYUAD and NACD facilities and focuses on interdisciplinary research at the intersection of psychology, neuroscience and linguistics. The ideal candidate will contribute to study design, stimulus preparation, data collection, and data analysis, working closely with NYUAD researchers and NACD stakeholders. The position also involves direct interaction with Emirati participants of all ages recruited through NACD, requiring strong communication skills and cultural sensitivity. Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, though a master’s degree is preferred. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with psycholinguistics, strong computational skills, and a background in developmental psychology or neuroscience. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience and interest in the Arabic language research, child development, and research involving local populations.
