Université Sorbonne Nouvelle Paris, or the New Sorbonne University was formally established in 1970, but its history goes back to the early 19th century with courses at the University of Paris and its Faculty of Letters.

The university offers courses in the arts, media, literature, linguistics and languages.

The university has three main sites; the largest being Campus Nation, followed by Sorbonne in the Latin Quarter, and Campus Condorcet.

During their down time, students can get involved with a range of cultural and sporting activities. Activities on offer include yoga, drawing, theatre, dance, cinema and capoeira.

The university offers a semester or year of training abroad for its students. Students can choose to gain international experience as part of an exchange programme in one of Sorbonne’s 223 partner universities, as an individual, as part of an internship, or teaching French as an assistant or reader.
