Paris Dauphine University, based in the picturesque France capital, specialises in the organisation and decision sciences with a self-confessed mission to educate future generations of executives, entrepreneurs, leaders and scholars. 

In 1968, Dauphine was founded as a faculty of economics and management in the former NATO headquarters in Western Paris. Now, the university has three campuses across central Paris, as well as in the heart of Paris' business district, La Défense. 

The university operates close ties to the business world ensure that Dauphine students are prepared for their professional future and keep pace with an ever-evolving economic landscape.

In 2009, Dauphine became the first French university to obtain the EQUIS accreditation from the European Foundation for Management Development, which is given in recognition of academic excellence. It  became an autonomous institution in 2011.

The institution is located in central Paris, a global centre for art, fashion, food and culture. Students can explore the picturesque 19th-century cityscape, walk by the River Seine or visit the iconic Eiffel Tower.

Students are encouraged to participate in a variety of activities. With over 30 associations and clubs at the university, there is plenty to do as well as attending Dauphine's numerous conferences, cultural and artistic programs and festivals.

Dauphine has developed partnerships with numerous French cultural institutions, including: The Centre Pompidou, The Musée du Luxembourg and The Musée National du Moyen-Âge.

The university also offers over 30 athletic disciplines, and facilities are located close near to the main campus boasting a 1,200m2 sports hall, dance studio, table-tennis room, weight room and squash court.

Most alumni go on to work in the fields of research, politics and business, and notable alumni include Audrey Azoulay, a French politician and current Minister of Culture, Hervé Mariton, member of the National Assembly of France and Cédric Villani, a prominent French mathematician.

Description The SHORES Center at New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) invites applications for a Postdoctoral Associate position in the area of Digital Twins and Artificial Intelligence (AI) for Smart Infrastructure Management Systems to work under the supervision of Professor Borja García de Soto, director of the S.M.A.R.T. Construction Research Group and Co-PI in the SHORES Center. The successful candidate will also collaborate with researchers and other Investigators from the SHORES Center on project related to the advancement of multidisciplinary research supporting the digitalization of the built environment. The selected researcher will expand the current research in the area of AI- and ML-powered digital twin frameworks for civil, energy, and built-environment infrastructure. These frameworks integrate IoT-enabled sensing and real-time analytics to support continuous monitoring, data-driven evaluation, and predictive maintenance. The work also address user comfort and indoor environmental quality (IEQ) as key dimensions of infrastructure performance. This research forms part of a broader effort to design smart, adaptive, and resilient Infrastructure Management Systems that leverage digitalization, automation, and intelligent decision-making. Key Responsibilities include conduct cutting-edge research on the integration of Digital Twins with AI/ML technologies for infrastructure lifecycle management. Develop and validate computational models for monitoring and predicting infrastructure performance. Collaborate with faculty and researchers across SHORES. Disseminate research findings through high-impact publications and conference presentations. Mentor graduate and undergraduate students involved in related projects. Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline with a focus on Digital Twins, AI, ML, or smart infrastructure systems. Strong background in computational modeling, data analytics, and/or automation in construction or infrastructure management. Demonstrated research excellence through peer-reviewed publications. Experience with programming languages and software platforms relevant to Digital Twin development (e.g., Python, MATLAB, Revit, Unity, or IoT frameworks). ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE: The successful candidate must possess a PhD in computer science or a relevant field within the humanities and social sciences as per the respective descriptions below. Humanities We seek candidates who understand the intersection of AI and the humanities and are capable of integrating AI technologies into their research and teaching, primarily through natural language processing (NLP) to analyse historical texts, literature, and cultural data. Experience with AI tools such as machine learning for sentiment analysis, data mining for social trends, or computational linguistics for linguistic analysis will be highly regarded. Additionally, the ability to instruct students on how AI can be applied to the study of philosophy, ethics, and history is essential. Understanding AI’s implications for privacy, identity, and digital culture is also critical. Social Sciences We seek candidates who can incorporate AI into their research on human behaviour, social trends, and policy analysis and are knowledgeable about AI tools that can analyse large datasets, including predictive modelling, sentiment analysis, or social network analysis. Experience with AI applications in sociology, political science, communication, linguistics, or area studies is vital. The candidate should be equipped to examine AI’s impact on social structures, inequality, and ethics in their work and understand AI’s potential to shape societal norms and public policy. Familiarity with tools such as Python for data analysis and AI-driven surveys or data collection methods is advantageous. Description The Micro- and Nanoscale Bioengineering Lab (MNBL) at New York University Abu Dhabi is seeking to recruit a research associate for biosensing of cardiovascular diseases. Description The Division of Engineering (Civil and Urban Engineering) in New York University Abu Dhabi seeks to recruit a post-doctoral associate to work on research centering around infrastructure systems and the environment under the supervision of Dr. Ahmad Bin Thaneya. The post-doctoral associate will lead collaborative efforts in advancing research focusing on the intersection of infrastructure, climate, and human health. Examples of current active projects include: Developing optimization models to analyze and mitigate fine particulate matter (PM2.5) exposure from various infrastructure systems (e.g., transportation networks, manufacturing systems, and truck routing). Assessing the relevance of the intake fraction (i.e., exposure efficiency) of major emission sources as a critical metric for infrastructure design, management, and policymaking. Investigating the residual sources of PM2.5 exposure from transportation systems following electric vehicle (EV) adoption, including exposure due to emissions from electricity generation for charging EVs, buses, trucks, rail, pavement resurfacing, tire and brake wear, and supply chain effects. Conducting life-cycle uncertainty assessments of building materials, carbon sinks (e.g., carbon dioxide removal options), and alternative low-carbon fuel sources. Candidates should demonstrate a strong theoretical background and proficiency in one or more of the following areas: infrastructure systems modeling, emissions inventory development, air quality modeling (chemical transport models and/or reduced-complexity models), exposure assessment of airborne pollutants, and life-cycle assessment. The post-doctoral associate will be expected to lead research efforts and contribute to publications in reputable academic journals.
