With 71 736 students and 4,838 teacher-researchers, Université Paris Cité is France’s leading multidisciplinary, research-intensive university. Université Paris Cité comprises three faculties - Health, Sciences, and Societies & Humanities - a component institution, the Institut de Physique du Globe, and a partner research organisation, the Institut Pasteur. The University ranks 57th in the 2026 Shanghai ranking, demonstrating its ability to conduct research at the highest international level.
