Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in the disciplines of Virology and Biological Sciences and have a strong interest in working closely with virologists and clinicians. They are expected to be highly motivated and come up with independent lines of research enquiry. Previous experience in one or more of the following areas will be an advantage: a) developing and working with infectious clones, tissue culture or primary cell culture models, b) ability to work with infectious small animals, c) omic-science, or d) microbial bioinformatics as applied to clinical research. The appointee will conduct research projects related to emerging agents of hepatitis (such as rat hepatitis E virus) under the supervision of Dr. Siddharth Sridhar in a leading clinical-translational emerging viral hepatitis research laboratory. We are seeking an Executive Assistant to join the team on the Student Helpdesk. In this front facing role, the successful candidate will manage student queries, support the Helpdesk team and wider Student Services team, and contribute to the planning and delivery of initiatives and projects as they arise. The Executive Assistant will manage student queries via telephone, email, live chat, and in person, while executing the day-to-day administrative functions of the Student Helpdesk. They will report to the Team Leader and work closely with the Senior Executive Assistant to understand workflow priorities. The Opportunity We are seeking a highly motivated Research Technician to join an exciting translational oncology programme focused on improving precision approaches to cancer treatment. Working within a multidisciplinary research environment, the successful candidate will support laboratory and translational activities underpinning an innovative cancer research programme with strong clinical relevance. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with researchers and clinicians involved in advanced cancer biology, experimental therapeutics, and translational research. The postholder will contribute to the establishment and maintenance of experimental systems, processing of clinical samples, and generation of high-quality research data to support programme development.
